If money was no object and you could do ANYTHING to your hearts desire... as long as it was at Walt Disney World.... what kind of wedding would you have?

I think I'd have a pirate themed wedding and capn' jack sparrow would marry us... with lots of dirty pirates attending.. I'd love to look out and see a stinky pirate sitting next to my mom at my wedding! :rotfl2: Then we'd all have a HUGE dinner in the PotC ride, ride the boats around, and go ride the carousel together! Actually.. my sister and I always joked around that when we got married we'd have a double pirate wedding!

so tell me what outrageous things you'd do if you could do ANYTHING YOU WANTED for your wedding at WDW! :woohoo:

(of course the pirate wedding is just one of many ideas! :cutie: )

Oh I like this thread!!! I love your dream pirate wedding! I'd like to see one sitting next to my mom too!!!

My dream wedding:
Well first I would be thinner with no double chin and arms like Madonna!
Then I would have been married in front of the castle after riding Cinderella's carriage down Main Street. I would want Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, & Chip & Dale there! I'd have my reception with dinner and dancing at the Haunted Mansion. I would also have a table full of dark chocolate covered strawberries that no one else could have but me! Last we would get a private ride on Space Mountain!

Oh and it would only be 68 degrees out!

This is going to sound really cheesy but I had my dream wedding :cloud9: Our wedding day was the most special and magical day I could have ever imagined.

Given unlimited power and resources, though, I would have changed 2 things -
My mom would have been there in person instead of in spirit.
I originally wanted the carriage, but you can't have the carriage at WL and I would not have given up WL Sunrise Terrace in favor of the carriage or any other location, so if possible I would have had the carriage ride me around WL.

lol. well, in that case I'd be about 60 pounds lighter too! seriously though, you looked so beautiful, you don't need to be thinner!

Then I would have been married in front of the castle after riding Cinderella's carriage down Main Street. I would want Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, & Chip & Dale there!

ooh, I love the idea of going down main street in the carriage!

I'd have my reception with dinner and dancing at the Haunted Mansion.

now THAT would be great! dancing with all the ghosts in the ballroom!! yes! I LOVE IT!

My mom went to a banquet inside the Haunted Mansion once. When we started looking at a DFTW the first thing she said was see how much that would be!
Unfortunately, they don't do it anymore!

My dream wedding would have been to elope :lmao: Seriously, all this wedding planning is such hard work!! I guess the only thing I'd add to my wedding would be that all the characters were there and every chocolate dessert imaginable could be there

Oh, I would want to be married in the castle! I also would want Cinderella's coach to drive me down main street!! I would want to be MUCH smaller than I am now. And I would want all of my friends and family there that aren't able to come to the one we are planning!

ohh, perfect thread for me since i dont even have a boy yet, but already planning my disney wedding:rotfl2: !!
Anyways, I would be married in front of the castle, while the park was open (im not much of a morning person), and it would all be roped off. I would have Cindy's carriage take me down main street. and REALLY if money was no object, I would rent out MK (not possible i know, but maybe for a few billion they would? ) for my reception. Iwould also have a dessert party with huge chocolate fountains, and I would be able to not have to worry about number of guests.:cloud9:

I am having my dream wedding. If I could I would fly all my family and friends that couldnt afford it to Disney. Have Goofy there for DF and AFI perform at our ceremony. Oh and add the carriage   But most of all have my Grandpa alive again so he could come...

I had my dream wedding so there is not much i would change!

If you had asked me before the wedding i would have said i would make sure all the family that couldnt make it would be able to come but given their nasty comments about the dvd and photos im glad they were not there.

The only thing i would really change is i wanted it to last a bit longer! The whole day flew by! I would have had Mickey and Minnie for longer too! They went down really well, everyone loved them so it was a shame when they had to leave!

I'd want a Cinderella theme wedding.

The ceremony would be either in a theme park or at the Wedding Pavillion. I'd arrive in Cinderella's Carriage. I would walk down the aisle to "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes," and my Maid of Honor would walk down the aisle to "Once Upon a Dream."

At the reception, I'd have the cake "Bridges to Happiness," or whatever it's called, which is a layer with a figurine of Cinderella and Charming, and two more layers, connected to the other layer by a bridge, with a castle topper. Our first dance song would be "Beautiful." Mickey and Minnie would attend the reception.

Our honeymoon would be extended our stay in Disney by a few days, before going on a Disney Cruise.

We'd also have the Magic Kingdom photo shoot, and my dress would be from Disney Bridal.

Haha so funny  I could totally live on chocolate!! DF took me to a restaurant a few Valentine's Days ago that had chocolate incorporated into every meal. Very strange... like sauteed shrimp w/ some kind of chocolate sauce. I'm like, Can I just have the dessert please :lmao:

Oh man! This is a fun game :)

My main wishes would be:
-all our friends and family would have their travel and hotel paid for so they could all come
-in the MK in front of the castle
-Cinderella's coach
-Mickey and Minnie
-private fireworks show
-videography (which seems silly, but we can't afford to include it and it's something I really wanted, so for me, it's a dream :) )
-and of course, my dad to be alive so he could walk me down the aisle

Oh lord...I'm crying buckets here...let's see...maybe all the floral I'd like and maybe a ceremony in front of the castle followed by an amazing reception with dancing and yummy food galore. I'd love for more than just 18 guests to be there because it was so hard to just pick 18. I'd want DF's family to stop acting like this wedding is such an inconvienience...especially when others in my family want so badly to be there...and I'd give anything for my recently deceased mother to be there since it is for her that we are having a DFTW. God, I miss her...I'd give anything to be with my mother just for those few hours...

I'm sorry...I'm having a rough day. DF's family has driven me over the edge (don't get me wrong, I love them...they're just so self-centered sometimes)...I've had a few beers and I miss my mom tremendously...darn it...life is so unfair sometimes...

Hang in there love4mylittleones. I had the same problem with not only DH's family but my own family. All I can say is ignor their behavior and keep on doing the wonderful things that you are doing. It is your day and not theirs. Hopefully they will all pull together their best behaviors for your wedding day and help you with whatever you need.

I had my dream wedding. After all of the fighting that took place on the trip between my family and DH's family, I am proud to say they were all on their best behavior for the wedding. We had such a wonderful time. I wouldn't change anything about our wedding day.

Oh my gosh, Diane! I am SO with you on that! DF's family is being the same way and they are acting like 'annoyed' about having to go all the way there, and there I am without my dad who would have ridden to the moon and back to be there with me and it just seems so unfair! Big Big Big  to you!

oh I'm soo sorry. why don't people realize that weddings are supposed to be a happy and joyous occasion instead of thinking it's all about them and how they want it to go? :sad2: I know your mom is somewhere watching over you and will be there with you in spirit on your beautiful day.

this was just too much fun so I decided to think about a second dream wedding idea... have you all heard of wedding planner to the starts preston bailey? I saw his book at the store and fell in love with it! I'd have him be my wedding coordinator! go here to see how amazingly talented he is!

http://www.prestonbailey.com/PORTF/PORTF.htm

I'd rent out world showcase (it's my favorite place at WDW) and get married inside the mexico pavillion under the stars with a mariachi band playing and my entire family would be able to come.. all my friends too... and the place would be FULL of flowers.. I mean, it would just be insane how many flowers there would be in there... with candles and beautiful lighting and after we were married we would walk around to each country and have one dish from each place.. something small so we wouldn't get too full.. and we'd end it all with dessert at the french pavillion and watch illuminations privately!! ooh yeah!

oh, and capn jack sparrow would be there of course. ;) noticing a theme here? haha.

honestly, I've already told DF that when we do go to WDW for our wedding in september, I HAVE to have my picture taken with Jack Sparrow! :rolleyes1

Awww...I'm sorry guys. I didn't mean to turn this into a pity party thread, lol. I had just had a really bad day with the family. We talked to them tonight and while It's not exactly what I wanted, we did compromise and everyone seems happy enough. Thank you all so much for being so supportive. Now let's make with the fun stuff...who's next with their Dream Wedding??? :goodvibes
