Waitlist confirmation-is this true?

Hi! I am trying to pack for a trip to DL and San Diego on points(we leave in just a few hours) and Member Services just called. We are on a waitlist for Thanksgiving for 2 two bedrooms at SSR or OKW. Well, one opened up at SSR and I took it. I wanted MS to be sure to keep us on a waitlist for the second one but wanted to give her a cell phone number since we will be away. She told me this:

"Everything is automatically confirmed now. There is no need to give her a new number. If one comes through, we automatically have it. This is a new policy"

Have you heard of this? Is this true? I really want to be sure before we leave on our trip. Back to packing......

That is the new policy. They just confirm you. No calling to see if you want it anymore (so don't waitlist for things you "might" want)

You kind of lucked out already. With the new waitlist policy, as soon as the first waitlist comes through not only are you automatically booked, but all other waitlists are dropped. Hopefully (since you were w/l before June 1st) your existing place on the waitlist for OKW was maintained.
