FYI for off-siters, the new Walmart on Turkey Lake Rd opened on the 13th. It is very convenient to I-Drive, Seaworld and the Universal resorts.

I should also mention that it is very convenient to anyone staying on Palm Parkway in the LBV area.

For Saratoga Springs you would be better going to the one on 535.

I'd actually say its a toss up as to which is more convenient. Getting to the one on 535 can be a real Pain in the Dupah sometimes - the traffic on 535 can be a nightmare.

How far is it to the Royal Pacific? We will be staying there during the Universal part of our vacation.
Also is it a Super Walmart?

If by Super Walmart you mean does it have a full grocery store then yes it is. They do not, however, have a gas station at this Walmart. There will also be a small strip of shops in the same area but so far they all appear to be vacant.
As far as getting there from Royal Pacific, turn left out of the main resort driveway and go to the end of the street (can't remember the name off the top of my head, sorry). At the traffic light, turn left onto Turkey Lake Road. Proceed along Turkey Lake, going across Sand Lake Road (major intersection) and the Walmart will be just a short way down on your right. Should take you no more than 7-10 minutes to get there unless there is major traffic.

When my family and I were there last December we went to the DR. Philips shopping area and we saw no sign of a Walmart Super Center being built, so this is some thing new to us.

If we assume that Sand Lake Rd travels in an east/west direction, the Kmart would be north of Sand Lake Rd and the Walmart would be south of Sand Lake Rd. The entrance is almost exactly 2 miles north of Central Florida Parkway if that helps.

I know there is one on Sand Lake Road which is just before the Florida Mall and in the same plaza is a Lowes, Wendys, a gas station and other stores.

The buildings are all new construction (saw it being built in February). It's about a mile south of West Sand Lake Road and, as someone mentioned, a couple of miles north of where Central Florida Parkway feeds onto Turkey Lake Road.
Someone asked about convenience from Saratoga Springs. The new WalMart is about five miles from SSR while the Kissimmee store on 535 is about 4 miles from SSR. I agree that the extra mile probably wouldn't add any time to the trip as the Palm Parkway/Turkey Lake Rd route seems to carry a lot less traffic than 535.
