Am I losing it or is the www.wdwinfo. com website now out of service. I used to use that link to get to this board but it has not been working for me for about a week now. I located this site by checking the United Kingdom Board and asking questions. What happened? Thanks for the help as always.

Sorry to bore you folks with questions about the website - I now know it has been down - but do you have any tips on how to locate the correct website when things of this nature happen.
Thank you for your patience.

We have gone to a new server for a variety of reasons and are suffering from the growing pains associated with that migration.

All forums are accessible from within the www.disboards.com realm. I assume we will eventually get wdwinfo back as before, but that may take awhile.

Try disboards.com for now. Thanks for everyone's patience. :)

Bob, I don't have the official techie answer but ever since the big crash last week I've had trouble getting to this site, too. I can no longer access it through my bookmarks - it just says URL not found. The only thing that works for me is entering through my e-mail. Luckily, I had some replys that I hadn't deleted yet or I don't know how I would have gotten back here. Look forward to the responses you get.

Thanks again for the information, but how does one know how to locate the new board when something of this nature happens.
Is ther any way to locate it - or does the baord just lose track of people? That is what happened to me. Please advise and thank you again.

BobH, You might do as I did when I also lost the bookmark because of the server change.

Just type www.disboards.com in you browser address box. It should take you to the main page and you can navigate from there to get to this board.

After the "bump" in the road with the server change I deleted my old bookmark and made a new one and I haven't had a problem since. Just an idea.......

To mic_KY_mouses:

Thanks for the help, but the question I am trying to get anwered is how does one know that www.disboards.com is the site to go to. Do you need ESP?

LOL! While ESP might help, we actually have been on disboards.com for months now. wdwinfo still linked thru, but disboards.com has been the real URL.

I suspect it might be good for all of us to periodically redo our bookmarks for occasions like this. (But....we're not expecting any more occasions like this!) ;)

The board may have been on disboards for months, but I guarantee you that many of us who simply use our computers for enjoyment and are not technological whiz kids had no idea what had happened and probably never noticed that they were accessing another link (disboards) through the wdwinfo site. I guess I am getting an education, but I am sure there will be some disappointed folks that will not play detective and find the way back. This is the best Disney site I have found and one the main reason I have found it to be the best site is because of the high caliber of people that it has attracted. It would be a shame to lose any of them.

after the boards came back up I had to redo my links. the problem was I had a link to www.disboards.com/forums and one to www.disboards.com/forums/user...yadda yadda yadda.

Anyways it seems that when they were brought back up the forums sub directory was not needed and I just took it out so they read www.disboards.com and www.disboards.com/user...yadda yadda yadda

wdwinfo.com will be back up (we have our best people working on it as we speak ;) ), but it may take a little while.

We are sorry for the connection problems and truly understand the frustrations felt by everyone.

This migration was an unavoidable problem and hopefully will resolve other issues which necessitated the switchover.

Thanks! :)
