Mike,
Hope to meet you there. I believe Steve(Tikiman) is setting up another meet for Disers other than ********. I'll ask him tonight.
Aloha,

That would be great as we aren't able to make the dinner at the Living Seas and I really wanted to go.
We'll be celebrating my niece's birthday and are so looking forward to the Poly since we haven't been there in quite a few years,..2003 i think.

Hi Sean :wave2:
There's still a chance that we may be at ********! :sunny: We'll be making a final decision in the next day or two. I am so on the fence about this.... We had originally planned a long weekend in Boston for our anniversary in July, but just tonight talked about changing to ******** to celebrate our anniversary instead....
What other meets is Steve setting up? We'd definitely stay at the Polynesian, just not sure if the concierge building or not, and if we do stay concierge, do we want to stay lagoon or garden view :scratchin

Hey Sean, I have an update! I am on hold with Delta airlines right now, booking our flights to ******** 2007!! :woohoo:
We've decided to stay lagoon concierge. My DH feels that if we're going to do it, might as well do it right. :sunny:
My DH doesn't play golf, although he's always wanted to give it a try. :cool2:

Flights are all booked! :thumbsup2 Just waiting to hear back about the room. :sunny:
We'll be arriving Friday morning, July 27th, and leaving Monday night, July 30. We had to keep it a short trip because of several reasons, including not wanting to use up all of my vacation days for the year. LOL I was just at WDW for 5 days last month, and we're taking a 9-night cruise this fall, as well as a couple of shorter trips to the Jersey Shore this summer. In fact, I'll be heading down there in 2 days. :beach:
We're really looking forward to this trip! I just bought DH a DSLR camera for our anniversary, and he can't wait to use it while we're at WDW, especially trying to get some decent shots of the fireworks over the castle from our balcony at the Polynesian.
Looking forward to seeing you again! :cool2:

I'll be there July 28-30, staying at GF (I have a week at the Poly booked six weeks later, hence my decision to stay at GF instead of Poly). Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Glad you will be there, Terry. In 2005, when I was planning my first trip to WDW, I was on the fence about staying at Poly or GF. Something you wrote about the Poly swayed me and I loved every minute of my time there. It's only fitting that we should meet at ********!
On a related note, I am weighing your comments about moderate vs. deluxe as I contemplate my 2008 travel plans. I am seriously leaning towards CSR.

Luke, I am really looking forward to meeting you :sunny: You know, it's a strange thing to write out your opinions about resorts, restaurants, etc on a message board knowing that other people may be making decisions about their vacations based on what you say. I always try hard to give a balanced view. I'm so glad when people tell me that they ended up enjoying something/someplace after I've given it a good review on here because I'd feel bad if they were disappointed! lol
Most of the pictures that I take for my web site are taken with DISers in mind; I know that when I'm researching and planning a trip I LOVE to see other people's pictures. Also, a picture shows what a place really looks like so people can see and decide for themselves whether it's someplace they'd like to stay at or not. I'll be adding some great new pictures after next month's trip to the Polynesian because we'll have my DH's brand new DSLR camera (it was my anniversary present to him; this trip is his present to me) with us and he's quite enthusiastic about it.:3dglasses lol
In regards to moderates VS deluxe; I still say that Disney's moderate resorts are (in my opinion) the best experience for your dollar. I used to say "the best bang for your buck" but that can mean different things to different people., so I changed it to "experience". For a relatively small price jump over a value resort, you get so much more at a moderate. People who only want a clean bed and to be on Disney property would probably be quite happy with a value resort (and there's nothing wrong with that!), but for overall theming, atmosphere, amenities (pool sides, hot tubs, lush landscaping, sit-down restaurants, activities, etc), then I fully recommend the moderates. You've probably read my review of POR from last month. I was genuinely surprised at just how nice that resort is. I've stayed at CBR twice and although it's been years since I was there, I remember feeling the same way there too. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the moderate resorts as long as you check each of them out and know what each offers (theming, room/building locations, etc), and make the right choice for your personal tastes. :)
