YES!! :dance3: :cheer2: Can't wait to have my kiddo's home with me all summer!! No more lunches to make.... no more kids to force out of bed in the morning and best of all I get time for an extra cup of tea in the mornings b/c my early arrival daycare kiddo is off all summer so I don't start until after 8am!!
Now please remind me of this when I complain about the fighting between my own 2 and the 'I'm bored' that will surely happen by the 3rd week of summer vacation!! :rotfl2:

Have a great time at Sherkston Shores. We have stayed there 3 times and LOVE it. Missing this year since DH used up all his holiday time for Florida, but have already booked Sherkston Shores for 2008!!!
If you have any Sherkston Shores questions, please feel free to ask away.

Sandra.... do you camp often? Have any really good suggestions for me for camping in S. Ont? I'm not too far from you in Guelph and we're looking for somewhere to get away for a weekend with the tent, canoe and dog! Have been looking at the pinery but would like to find one more place too!

S,
We rent a mobile home while at Sherkston , but I have walked through the camping area. If you go to the www.sherkston.com web site and look at the resort map, you will see the sites in dark green near the quarry lake. I think this is where the tent trailers are placed. I would think that there would be two good areas, as close to the quarry as possible (for possible lake view) or near the playground (very nice playground).
During summer months, there is so much going on at Sherkston. Before going, check-out the monthly calendar for an idea of what entertainment is being offered while you are there. At check-in you will also be given the weekly schd.
Have fun.

We have been to turkey point but it didn't seem too 'canoe friendly' - we'd reallly like somewhere that we can drop the canoe into a river and let the kids get some good practice.
