Our neighbor gave us some fresh pinto beans from his garden. Anyone know how to cook them?

I do! I am from South East KY and this is how we cook them! First you wash them really good, then soak them overnight in water. You can pressure cook them, put them in the crock pot, or on the stove. I usually put them in a crock pot and put ham in to season, my family always used country ham but I have used " Salt Back" it is basically the fatty part of the ham. In either case it does not take a lot to get the flavor. Cracker Barrell uses Country Ham to season their pinto beans. And of course you don't have to use seasoning they a little bland if you don't IMHO. Hope this helps!
