My family is taking it's first cruise on July 13th (Mom, Dad, two kids 5 & 7). I need to book airline travel for the return trip and am concerned about the length of time it will take to get back to Orlando Airport. I was thinking of booking a 2:00 p.m. flight back home which would mean I need to get to the airport by 12:00. Is this enough time? I was thinking of renting a car from Avis since we will be staying at the Radisson on the 12th. Would I be
better off with car service? Thank you.

You would probably save 30 - 45 minutes by using a car service versus renting a car, but you could use either option for a 2pm flight. You'll have no problem making it.

We prefer using a towncar. We always use Happy Limo and were really glad that we did so this time...our flight was at 12:20, and we thought we didn't have to hurry because the flight out was not bad at all...lines were minimal, so the only thing that took a while was the search of our bags (I knew they'd check 'em because I had my pin case and a bag of gifts for the crew). We had late seating breakfast, so we didn't get off till 8:30ish, and as always the towncar was waiting for us. We left immediately and got to MCO with LOTS of time to spare...thank goodness, because the lines were OUTRAGEOUS!!! The check-in line looked to be an hour, and even curbside was really bad (thankfully we had E-tickets, as the kiosks for those were not crowded at all). Then it was at least half an hour wait at Security, plus another bag search prior to boarding the plane. Whew!! What a difference a few days makes!! I'm always glad to let someone else do the driving, and this time I was doubly glad to get to the airport so expediently.
