Uncomfortably caught up

Sigh.....I have an urge to scrap something, but I am all caught up! I even tried my hand at making a card, and I made a very pretty one for my best friend's birthday...........which isn't until the end of July:rotfl2: DD#2's daycare end-of-the-year party isn't for 2 more weeks, and that's the next up on the "events to scrap" list.

Has this ever happened to any of you? What do you do when you want to create something but have nothing to do? I've come dangerously close to going shopping for new stuff just because I want to do *something*....but I'm trying really hard NOT to buy new stuff.

My scrap area is organized and tidy, so cleaning that up isn't an option.

Ummmm, in one word, NO! :lmao: I've NEVER been caught up!

So, as my CMC would say, have you done all of your kid's baby pictures? What about YOUR baby pictures, school pics, etc? What about taking some stuff out of your parents' old albums and doing some heritage albums?

You could always make a stash of paperbag albums to keep on hand as gifts. Maybe something you can use as a little pick-me-up for friends, grandparents, Christmas presents, etc?

Have fun with that being caught up thing. It's nice to know that it really can happen! :goodvibes

...or enough children!!! I've got books going for each one of my four and I finally finished the first day of school for the fourth one TODAY! :banana: I do a two page layout with a journalling calendar for each one every month, so I am only about nine months behind. Not to mention the "special" spreads for things like b'days and holidays--and Disney vacations. Argghhhh! It's making me crazy to be that far behind. I normally run about 3 months back, but volunteering at the school four days a week really put a crimp in my scrappin'. At least I've got the calendars up to date. I better get busy! Maybe I can catch up before school starts back.

LOL, I have been caught up twice and it didn't last long. Maybe you need a small project to work on, like a gift album for father's day? Good luck finding something fun to do!

I have thousand of photos you can scrap for me if you need something. I am so far behind its not even funny. I was the family phtographer so I have about 20 of those photoboxes jammed with photos just waiting.


I get alot more done in the winter than the summer.

Actually, I may not be too far from you.....I'm in western MA, just north of Springfield:lmao:

I did one tiny project today. We already have the end-of-the-year teacher gift for DD#1's teacher, but I thought it would be nice to make a card. I cut out a "Thanks" with the Cricut the other day, so I glued it onto a plain card and stuck an apple brad on it. I'm going to have DD#1 write her teacher a note on a piece of vellum that I cut to size, and I'll stick it onto the inside of the card with a couple more brads.

I just started scrapping this year, and I scrounged photos from 2006 to do a brief album covering the whole year. I've never been much of a photo person until I decided to take up this hobby, so I don't really have enough photos to do other albums about the past. I'm in a dry spell now, but I have DD#2's preschool "graduation" in a couple of weeks, DD#1's birthday in early July, and our Disney trip in mid-August (65 days, but who's counting, lol).

So far, I still haven't gone to AC Moore:cool1: .

actually were are going to a antique truck & tractor show in colchester, ct at the zagray farm in july. there is going to be trucks & tractors from all over the country there. my dh and brother in law are totally into trucks and tractors and of course they have started my ds into it as well.
