Ok, I designed this castle for my Dd's 3rd birthday party invites using the George/Basic shapes cartridge with my Cricut. I thought y'all might be interested since it could be used to scrap Disney pages too, and you could vary the details in many different ways. I've never posted a pic, but I'm about to try it out!!
This was my very first proto-type. The notations tell you how to make the castle. For instance "sI 2" means I used <shift> I at 2 inches for that piece. The door was an oval cut at 4 1/2 inches, then just cut in half. The tiny squares use the Sign feature, then <shift> R at 1 inch, and just use the little square from the sign. The middle "tower" is a square, but it's overlapped by the triangle on top of it.

This was my 2nd draft, and shows how this card opens in the middle, but obviously that's not necessary if you're scrapping it. The pink hearts are also cut from George at 1 inch. The clouds are from Mickey & Friends at 1 inch. The texture on the castle was made with my Cuttlebug, using the Tiny Mosaics embossing folder.

Final product. I ditched the Stickles glitter glue and used rhinestones instead. Also used ZooBalloo to make some vines, then added some sequin flowers with brads. Also added the "E" to the door using the Jasmine cart. The star stamp in the sky and the "you're invited" stamp are from Stampin Up. Thanks for looking!!

Thanks, Ladies! Hope the directions come in handy!
Faerie - I put it over on the Cricut board already. I hang out there a lot! :thumbsup2
Mickster - I've only made one so far, but have to make another 29 or so. :scared:  The first one took me a couple of weeks to think about the design, and a few days of actually working on it to perfect it. I think each one might take an hour to make, now that I know what I'm doing. Good thing the party isn't until September!

That is really neat. Thanks for sharing the detailed instructions. I love those "thinking outside the Cricut box" things. I made a castle with a paper piecing pattern from about.com, but I may have to use this for the kid's little books.:) The vines and flowers really add to it.
