I too have really enjoyed being along for the ride on this trip, its been such fun and has taken me off reading and enjoying other trip reports.

Have a little bit of excitement myself, just booked for 3 days over Christmas at Disneyland Paris to celebrate my 60th birthday on Christmas Day :cool1:

For sure its not quite such fun "doing Disney" when you are wrapped up to the 9's against the cold but hey its my birthday and its Disney :yay:

What a great way to celebrate! And we want to hear all about it. Please note the link in "pierresgirl's" post, which is where we will probably be hanging out ( http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1630510 )

Sweetie, let me clear something up for you - THIS WAS AN OFFICIAL DREAM! I don't care if it was not on the official list, but for all of us at home, or at work reading this, THIS WAS AN OFFICIAL DREAM! I would DIE if this happened to me!

It was cool, and we felt really blessed!

Then there was Abby smiling with her head tilted to the side, and ANTSS handing me the "ride" button. With THAT much DISpressure, how could I NOT ride it. And here I thought I was about to have some quality time with Daddy Fred! I guess not!

I figure that there just has to be another time when things will work out for us, and we will have tea together at the GF.

I'm glad that you had a great time, and glad that I got to meet the 3 of you!

Smooches!
GmaX And we are too - looking forward to seeing you again, whether here or beyond.

......... that's right, I've come up with a way to stretch this baby out some more!:cheer2:

Some may think my clown costume to be less than complete, as I am not wearing the traditional clown makeup, though I have been known to wear it in the past. Why am I not wearing it for the party?

Also sad it's over :( Great TR, start to finish! I've been following along every post, just letting Lease handle the replies (err, yeah, that's it! ok I'm just a slacker :sad2:)

Have to say again, can't thank you enough (and Fred and Lynn!) for including us in your magic, and being a part of ours! You truly "get it", probably even more so than myself, and it really shows in the TR. Glad to hear you have a return trip in the works :)

Hope you'll pop in on our TR now and then, you'll be making an appearance, errrr.. eventually :confused3 I'm hoping to finish day 2 by Christmas

Once again, great work and thanks for sharing it all!

It was a great pleasure "meeting" you 3 bears. Your trip (& pre-trip) report were fabulous. I loved reading about your first time experences. You truly did your homework where Disney knowledge is concerned. Your must do list looks pretty full - better not add too much more. ;)

Maybe soon, we can meet up at WDW!!

Take care!

You're not wearing make up??? :lmao: Just kidding! Hummm....good question. Let's see...

#1 - airport security confiscated it?
#2 - didnt want to chance the rain washing it off?
#3 - dermatologist told you not to wear it?
#4 - Disney security said "no way - clown man!, no "masks' allowed"
#5 - I give up!

;)

Great! - it sounds like I have another sister named Cathy :rolleyes1

OK - nope, not #1 - that would be the knife that Lynn had in her carry-on.:lmao:

Not #2 - it looked like the weather was going to be beautiful - we didn't even take our ponchos or umbrellas - little did we know :confused3 .

Actualy, not #3, 4, or 5, either. But thanks for playing:banana:

Aw, I'm so sad to see this report come to an end. You guys had so much fun on your trip... I even had fun just reading about it! I loved the list of things to do for next time. I've been to Disney every summer for the past three years and my list STILL looks just like yours. I want to get a Dole Whip, see the afternoon parade at the Magic Kingdom, try the Animator's Studio... the list goes on and on and on, but it's just so easy to get distracted at Disney :lmao:

So thanks again Abby and Abby's Dad for sharing your trip with us. It was great to read, and I'll be looking forward to the next one!

Finally caught up with the trip report! Thanks for doing a trip report so that we could relive the wonderful memories that all three of you gave us in person. The TR was (is still) a joy to read and is a wonderful reminder of the time we spent with the 3 Bears.

Hi :wave2: Lisa (and family) Welcome aboard. And the 3 Bears enjoyed their time with you - so, you're going back in December?

It would be nice to meet for tea someday!
... and oh so civilized :lmao: But their scones are very tasty!

My guess is that it was too hot! I dont see how some women put on makeup before going to the parks! UGHHH!!!!

That was the real reason for not wearing the make-up, but not the reason that I gave to the kiddies who asked where my makeup was - that remains to be uncovered.

Hi :wave2: Lisa (and family) Welcome aboard. And the 3 Bears enjoyed their time with you - so, you're going back in December?

Actually, we are thinking (more planning since mum and I took the tour) of buying into DVC which would change some of our plans. Yet we are still thinking about a cheap last minute deal to help us decide which DVC to buy into.

I had a call today to say the 7.00 am flight I had booked on Christmas Eve has been cancelled and as the idea of getting up so early was to have more or less a full day when we got there I've now changed the booking and we leave on the 23rd at lunchtime :cool1:

It means we can be quite relaxed about getting to DLP without to much hurrying and also can have a bit of a lie in on Christmas Eve as we won't have to be at the airport for a 5.00 am start.

Now.... I'm thinking about taking a little pink Christmas tree that came with its own little lights, a £2 bargain in January, and I'm wondering about hanging some Mickey ears thingies on it if anyone could send me some?

About the Mickey ears thingies..do you mean the Home Depot paint chips things? I'd be happy to send you a variety of colors! Let me know.

Leyla

thanks Leyla - and thanks for sticking with us : ) It's been so, so much fun!

Great recap. It's been fun reading a TR from another 20-something DISer who's not "too cool" to go to WDW with their parents. :thumbsup2

hey don't you find that your parents get cooler as you get older? Thanks for reading :)

It's sad to see your TR come to an end, but it has been SO much fun reading about your trip, and I'm glad to see you have another one planned! :goodvibes

I don't think I ever got to say this, but your Belle costume came out AMAZING and your hair looked great too! :thumbsup2

Thanks Emma, I was really pleased with how the costume came out and it's been a lot of fun reliving the trip through the report - thanks so much for coming along for the ride, and now I can focus on reading yours!

......... that's right, I've come up with a way to stretch this baby out some more!:cheer2:

Some may think my clown costume to be less than complete, as I am not wearing the traditional clown makeup, though I have been known to wear it in the past. Why am I not wearing it for the party?

ooooh! ooooooh! I KNOW THE ANSWER!!!:yay:

:( I'm sad your TR is over. Can't wait to hear about Si and Am taking on the world (and are you still also going to Universal that trip)? :cool1:

Thanks for hanging out with us and coming along for the ride Heather - I CAN'T WAIT to hear about your December trip - you better take tons of pictures of all the decorations because I want to see them so badly! It doesn't look like Si & Am will be taking on Harry Potter world - we're not sure if it'll be open, but decided not to wait - we'll take a separate trip if need be!

Also sad it's over :( Great TR, start to finish! I've been following along every post, just letting Lease handle the replies (err, yeah, that's it! ok I'm just a slacker :sad2:)

It is sad! But I'm glad we bumping into you and Lease around the boards - you guys BETTER keep in touch! You know I'll be following your TR through to the end and then through the next one! You can't get rid of me that easily ;) Besides, gotta watch out for my cameo :lmao: Thank YOU guys for taking a chance and going on a boat ride with a bunch of strangers - it turned out pretty darn well!

Well, the Abby's Dad Club has to have a formal meeting at some point or they'll never accomplish world dominance!:lmao: :lmao: It would be great to meet up at some point, so we'll all have to try to keep in touch. I'm so glad we met - we'll all definitely be hanging out on your TR now!

Thanks for coming along for the ride Melissa - I am almost caught up on your TR, just have a couple more to read and I'll be commenting away! We definitely did have the time of our lives - and it looks like you and your family did as well - Disney really is just the best, there's just no explaining it really!

Cathhy

Well the thought of DLP is actually quite cold at the moment but I'm sure the pixie dust will warm us up along with hot chocolates at appropriate times :lmao:

Mickey ears thingies are the technical term for the Home Depot paint chips (which basically means I couldn't remember the name for them :rotfl:)

Thank you to you and Fred and I'll take you both up on your offer then I can decorate the windows as well as the tree and DLP will know that some Disers have arrived :santa:

Sadly the Disneyland Paris website doesn't seem to update too often and there are no times for parades, shows up yet for the festive season which doesn't make planning very easy but I gather that we can breakfast in the park when staying onsite instead of in our hotel so we plan on early mornings and late nights :)

Pictures are a given of course and as it happens I had already bought a new camera for my daughter for Christmas so we should have 2 shots of everything!

I have been reading and just not had the time to post, but that is okay because I do not intend to really say good-bye to any of you. We just need to keep in touch through the internet world until we can meet again in person some day. Sound good? I feel like all of you have become more of "family" and that is a super thing.

Cathy

Pluto likes to eat makeup? Who knew?:rotfl2:

OK - time to answer. There was no way I was going to wear makeup in all that heat, but I figured that there would be kiddies asking where it was, so I needed an answer - AHA! Brilliant! I would go as a clown on vacation - notice the vacation shorts and vacation type hawaiian shirt, and you know - they bought it. There I am in this clown outfit, with the clown nose, and they are asking why my face isn't made up, and I point to the shirt and say, can't you see - I'm on vacation, and I only wear my makeup when I'm working. And their mouths are open, their eyes are big, and they are going Oooohhhhhh! The reactions of the kids to the clown were almost enough to get me to run away and join the circus, or at least go to work at WDW!

When Abby was little, the two of us would dress as clowns for halloween and trick or treat together, and I did do the full clown makeup then. But not in the heat and humidity of WDW for me!

There, not a huge surprise, but one last chance for a little fun at the end of this TR.
