DH was listening to Ian Wright on Talksport who said it looks like they asked someone 12 months ago to design something and the night before he was to present it thought oh blast I'd better knock something together quick and came up with this. He sat there at the presentation and when they said we love it, he thought great got away with it.

Seb Coe has just been on news at 10 defending the logo but it seems everyone other than the 2012 committee hates it and news at 10 suggested it may be asked to be changed.

On the bbc website you can vote, Gold Silver Bronze or Wooden spoon. There's 83% for Wooden spoon at the moment with more than 15k votes!
