Hey everyone,
I think it is so cool that there are so many people in here that do ballet. Amzey, I love your graphic of Minnie dancing, it is so cute. Although I have not been dancing long, I've already figured out how much work it is. I would love to hear bout what you all think about it. I Love to Dance!!!

I started point about 2 weeks ago, It has not been easy. Where you able to get up on them as soon as you started or how long did it take you to get up on them without aid of the bar?

Hi all,

I don't do pointe but I do teach ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, tumbling, and lyrical. I'm 25 and been dancing since I was 3. I've done pointe before but it didn't interest me so I quit.

I have taken dance for 10 years! I love to dance and I do it all the time! I take ballet, tap and jazz. This year I am teaching a 4th grade class and a 3y/o class with another girl. I might teach on another day because one of my friends who teaches has a conflict. Last year I thought 4th grade,3rd grade and 5th grade. It is so much fun helping people learn to dance and seeing how happy they are after they understand!

When I was little I used to go to Ballet lessons, but my teacher moved away so I stopped. Now I go to a Jazz dancing class every week with my friends. I've been attending for about 3 yrs now and it's great! My Mum encourages me to dance as she went to Dance College after high school.

Does anyone here do Jive dancing? I'd LOVE to try it!! :D

I learned that the Competition Squad at my school is going to nationals. Guess where nationals are? Orlando. They get to miss school and go to Disney World.

I dance...this will be my 5 year and my 3rd on our compititon team. I think I am going to quit compitition next year because it cost alot and we only do one dance...when we used to do 4. oh-well...but I do enjoy dancing. I will not be trying out for our dance team because they aren't too good. But this year they get to go to Orlando (I wanna go! :( ) while our band gets to go to New York...I wish it was the other way around!!

One of my friends uses the lambs wool pads and we were trying on each other's shoes and those hurt. I don't see how she dances on them.

They hurt the first couple times you go up but once you get use to them they're fine.
My teacher said i should use lamb's wool so it would help improve my arch and it worked really well.

Yea, I love to dance! My teacher sees me get frustrated because I am not up on my shoes yet. She told me it takes time. I was sort of hoping to be able to do the performace this year on point but I guess I won't be doing that. That is okay though because I am already in two other performances. What is your favorite dance move? Mine would have to be PK Turns. They are so much fun!!!!!!!

Ballet Babe...I love PK turns too!
i also love to invent my own moves to songs that my teacher said were "inappropriate" for ballet!
