OK, I'll admit, I've watched every episode, sometimes kicking and screaming, because I'm totally fine with sex (praise the lord), but I have a severe distaste for violence (while I was at church this morning one of my border collies killed a ground hog and I've been looking at him twice all day).

And tonight's the finale? Is it? Gosh, I can't wait till they find the cure for dementia, or is it time for an adult beverage, yet? At least then i can forget the dementia.

ANYWAY, who watches and who is going to be watching tonight?

Is tonight really the last episode? I was travelling quite a bit so I missed most of the episodes but I finally caught up last weekend (gotta love OnDemand!). I'll definitely be watching tonight. I don't want to give anything away in case anyone reading this hasn't seen all of this year's episodes yet, but I have to say I was  when Tony 'offed' that certain someone. Any guesses on what happens to Tony? I see three possiblities - obviously death is #1 (but I'm thinking that's too obvious), brought up on Federal charges (which would leave the possibility of the future open, plus in real life those guys can be quite entertaining in my line of work!), or lastly, a total meltdown based on his depression, AJ, the stress of his 'career' and the memory of those that are gone. No matter what it should be fun ... in a dark and depressing sort of way!

OK, so have you given this any thought??? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I don't really have a clue, but it seems to me he's been looking for a scapegoat all season, someone who he could off so that then he would feel protected from the ravages of life (this is the sort of thing someone suffering from PTSD might do and I figure he's got it in spades after the shooting last year). Christopher was the scapegoat.

So, now I'm thinking he's gonna get cocky. He's going to make a real bad mistake, somehow, one with disastrous consequences.

A normal person might go the other way and be shocked into reality and grief. But not Tony, as they said last week, 'sociopaths in therapy only get worse."

Hmmm ... that sounds portentious.

... Sue, one more.

And Tony is certainly on the run!

Oh, yeah!!! I can't wait for next week. But I'm sure after next week there will be a let down that it's finally over. I didn't watch the Sopranos for the first couple years but then I got hooked ... now I'll need to find something to fill the void.

ever!

So, Sue, I guess we have to place our bets:

1. I think Tony lives
2. Something big happens with his son
3. I think Camilla lives

Vicki - I've been hearing different scenarios all week and my head is spinning now! I read that they actually filmed 3 different endings and very few know which one will be used. I do think Tony and Carm will survive, and AJ - he'll survive but I have no clue what the result will be. One spoiler that I read had Meadow killed and I guess that's possible since Tony specifically told Carm to get away somewhere but made the comment that families are always safe. That leads me to believe that something will happen to someone in the family.

Yeah, I hear you and I won't be surprised by anything.

I heard of the multiple endings too and I guess I don't buy the idea that they wouldn't kill Tony off because of possible movie deals. I don't think the creator things like that; but hey what do I know?

Oooh, good choice; I'm watching something on NBC about a death row inmate who I think eventually walks - what was I thinking?

...I'm gonna have to watch it again; we had some drama with the the teens - my daughter and her friends and their trip to Ocean City after graduation has had a wrench thrown in ... so I missed few things, but generally my impression was ...

WHAT THE FRIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the heck?! Where was all the excitement and drama???? I have to say that it was a letdown ... but it does leave the door wide open for the future.

... I am sooooo not happy.

I really gave this guy a lot more credit for having a lot more balls.

Come on ... very disappointing ... but I will watch it again.

Totally loved the ending; thought it was a perfect parallel to real life. :thumbsup2 Won't say more here in case somebody has tivo-ed it and hasn't watched it yet.
______
oooops! I now see that I'm in the minority here. Let me see if I can add to my endorsement w/o any spoilers. I loved the visual references to The Godfather and other previous genre pieces but thoroughly preferred the sense of ambivalence we were left with, to the moral certainties that I was expecting. p.s. -- I am also using Tony's new word "miffled" every chance I get.

I didn't watch the show as much as my other half but I watched the last episode. I really only watched because of Holstens LOL I remember when they were filming it. It's in my town.

It was an interesting ending though, Chris thought the cable went out and started screaming :rotfl:

I thought the ending was good. The tension was building the whole time and really Tony would have that kind of tension every day for the rest of his life, never knowing who is coming through the door... it was :thumbsup2 from us at our house.

Are the onion rings good? After watching the show, I was SO jonesing for some yummy greasy bad-for-you onion rings... It is a source of great mifflement that there are NO good onion rings to be had anywhere in a hundred mile radius from here.:rotfl:

Mifflement???? I guess you really do like the word ... enough to use various forms of it!:rotfl2:

Mifflement
Pronunciation: mi-'fil-ment
Function: noun
1 : the quality of that which is obscure : skill in mifflement
2 : that which is truly confusing, frustrating and generally annoying

I don't think i had the onion rings, I only ate in there once. It wasn't the best, but for what it was it wasn't bad...
