I've been going by our Home Depot, which is an hour away from home, to check for alien green paint chips but haven't been able to get any. They've been out every time I go. Well, I stopped by yesterday and found out that they removed all colors of the Disney paint chips.:confused3 I was looking foward to having them laminated and used to hang on our bags and purses.:sad1: Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I have heard that they might get rid of the paint colors. Now wether or not this is true, I have no clue.
Our home depot here in Ontario have the paint chips still. With a big sign overhead that says, "These are paint chips....NOT STICKERS". I think they have had a bunch of people taking the chips thinking that they can peel the Mickey heads off for stickers....Little do they know that it's us Disboarders who favor them more than kids.;)

I will have to get over to my home depot in the next couple of days. I will keep you posted. I hope they don't do that though.

:scared1:   OMG, I hope they don't take away our Mickey head paint chips! Guess I better get over there quick to "collect" some before our next trip. I hope it's not a sign of things to come, but thanks so much for the heads up!

Our Home Depot here in Illinois still carries the paint chips. I have been having my DH pick them up for us to use for our upcoming trip. I was going to have him stop bringing themhome but maybe I should have him keep bringing them so we have them for our next trip. But I suppose that if they are laminated they might lst more than one trip to the world.

Ours still has them, infact I was there yesterday and liberated oh about 80 of them :rolleyes1. These are going into my gift bags that I am giving out for our meet and greets in Sept. 07.

I really hope that they do not get rid of them or I have heard through the grape vine that they may even start to charge for them :scared: NO WAY

We still have them here in Colorado. I was there this weekend and they had them. I am sorry Tinkerbell63 that your HD doesn't have any. I wonder if Lowe's has them?:confused3

And you wonder why they are discontinuing them? I personally think this is abuse and I hope you have at least bought some of the paint or offered to pay for them. I really don't like paying for other peoples greed.

:thumbsup2 Totally agree! When I read about how many people take huge amounts of the paint chips with no intention of buying the paint or often anything else in Home Depot I would not be at all surprised if the paint chips were discontinued or no longer came in the Mickey Head shape.

Yep.

When I get them I get, maybe 3, once I think I got 5. And then I get a couple (one each) of different colors.

And I feel guilty about it.

80......wow

Yes to answer your question I did buy some paint! So infact I paid for all of the mickeys I took.

So I am sorry if that bothers you it was not meant to offend you or any other person on here.

Don't worry Poohbear, some people need to lighten up. I'm sure everyone who has taken free paint samples has spent more than enough at HD to pay for something that probably costs less than a penny to make. I know I've spent enough there to earn a lifetime supply :rotfl:

Yes I have to in the past so in a way I understand what you are saying. Thank you.

People get so upset over the silliest things. I take paint color strips all the time when i'm thinking about painting some room in my house... i'm sure they take only cents - spend your time worrying over world peace, or the plague...get over yourselves!!! :rotfl2:

I STILL haven't gotten any yet!!! I've spent an absolute FORTUNE in HD recently. :scared: MY DD is an Irish step dancer and I bought her 10 sections of a false floor (I think that's what they're called) to the tune of a couple hundred $$. This was pre-DisBoarder days. SO, the ? is: even though I bought this "floor" a last year do I still qualify to go in and take 4 LGMHPCs or would that be offensive. As an aside, I've bought other stuff there as well. Would the MH's then be considered an "OOOPS Forgot To Take A Few"? :rolleyes1

:lmao: First pool hopping & refillable mugs, now this! Stop the insanity!!!!!

I have a pdf file that I got from another DISer awhile ago that has 3 different size LGMHs. She was from the UK (with NO home depots) and shared with me. I print them out on full sheet stickers to stick everywhere!

I'd be willing to share if someone can't get (or doesn't want to liberate) LGMHs.:thumbsup2

The HD in Manahawkin, NJ has them too! If any one needs any and their store doesnt have them, I would be happy to help you out. I use them too all the time in my classroom and even in my bathroom. I took so many of them last June. We actually painted our kitchen Pooh yellow, and we used a white as well but I forget the Disney name for it.. lol. We are truely all Disney.. haha :lmao:
