Our familly will be going to WDW next April/May '08 for our first DVC trip. We will need a 1BR. We hope to be able to get into our home resort BCV, once our closing is complete. What are some of the most important room requests for a 1BR at BCV? I would never have thought to request a non-HC room, but now I just might. The tub is important with my girls. What else?
Thanks for the help:flower3: .

Congratulations! We have stayed at other DVC resorts since 2005, but are planning our first stay at BCV (1BR) in Sept. We would also be interested in comments from the BCV pros.

Now that smoking isn't an issue, about the only thing I'd suggest (besides the non-handicap request) is considering if you want a top floor unit (nobody above you) or if you want to be near or away from the elevator.

Some other considerations might be which end of the building you would prefer, if you'll have a car you might want to be closer to the self parking end of the building or closer to the lobby if you don't.
Also view might be important, I prefer pool view.
Being close to the elevator I think is a plus, and I wouldn't want to be on the first floor.

I have to agree with skelooch. We were close to the elevator for our 2 bdr lockoff and loved it. As for having a tub, all 1 bdr have a jacuzzi tub regardless if they are handicapped or not. Our 2 bdr lockoff (a 1 bdr joined with a studio) were both handicapped. It wasn't a big deal, though I didn't care for how low the bed was in the master bedroom.
