I'm hoping someone who's there now will let us know if the rain from the past two days has helped any. Wonder if the water levels are back up in the canals.

Things are so dry that I bet Barry was only a drop in the bucket. We had a good amount of rain here and virtually no run off.

We just checked out today. It rained all night but the water levels were still very low.

I like the name of the OP, we actually stayed on 1500 loop cottontail curl this trip.

It is incredibly dry here. You would think that with a steady rain for 24 hours (on and off toward the end), with a TON of water, that there would be some sort of increase in the levels of water. But, we woke up today and when it stopped raining for a time in the afternoon, the thing we noticed was that there weren't any puddles. Very odd for June to not be rained on every day.

It's our favorite loop to stay in, did you have a good trip?

Thanks everyone, I guess I hoped a tropical depression would help out more than that. Baby steps, hope the weather pattern gets back on track soon.

We're here now - Loop 600. I don't know how low things were before the rain - we drove in through it yesterday to get here. But things are still pretty low - much, much lower than when we were here in 2003.

I was at the fort today for lunch. I rode over the bridge to the cart barn and it didn't come up much at all. The grass and brush is still a tenderbox. Be careful with the flames.

We need many more Barry's to help. Lake O hit new record lows almost every day last week. I hope Orlando got the the 5" of water like us becouse that is where Lake O gets it water.

Are you talking about Lake Okeechobee? My husband said he saw a news clip last week with a lady standing in lake Okeechobee, holding her hand up to the top of her head. She said the water was supposed to be that high. I asked him if he heard the name of the lake right, 'do you KNOW how huge that lake is??!!' Now, I've seen the pictures myself. Unbelievable.

Yes Lake Okeechobee last week the news had video of docks 1/2 mile from the water. they are finding stuff from the 1800 in the mud.

Got lots of rain for us south of Disney, it definitely will help, but we need about 3 months of that to actually be normal again :/
