After a recent visit to my local ACMoore(New London CT) I just had to write to express my joy over the renovations to your scrapping department. At first when I heard you were revamping this section I was a bit concerned so I waited until the renovations were about 3/4's of the way to completion. I love the way the papers are displayed and the brands of paper you are now carrying, everything looks clean and fresh, the aisles have a nice flow to them and I was able to find everything I needed despite the fact that the store had not finished moving things.
I have always preferred ACM's scrapping dept over some of the other stores but these recent changes solidify my reasoning to continue shopping at your store.
My only request is that you open more stores throughout the US soon. Some of my friends who live in Indiana are not fortunate enough to have an ACMoore near them and would love to become patrons as well.
Thank you,
(Me)
So, what do you think????
I'll let you know if I hear back from them.....

Sounds great. I loved my trip to ACM yesterday. I was driving through Orlando and stopped at the store on my way home. Its not close enough to head to during a trip to Disney but it is a great store. I loved there clearance stuff.

I figured they probably only get letters when something is bad, so they should be recognized when they get something right.

I went to mine today for the first time since they finished the revamp...what a huge improvement! Just displaying the paper so you can actually see it made a big difference....and for the first time ever the stack packs weren't a big old mess.

Is it really that far out of the way? I'm planning on making a stop when we're down there later this month. We're driving, so I'll have a vehicle. Thanks!

It is a good 30 minute drive from the world from what I could tell. I wasn't leaving Disney to head there but I am not sure I could easily find it coming in from I-4. I rode down 50 from Titusville to get there. We usually only go to Disney for a weekend trip and i wouldn't be willing to give up the 2 plus hours it would take to drive and shop there with only 2 days at Disney.

I wish they would open one closer to me. Ours is about 30 minutes away with no traffic but there is always traffic this time of the year. Plus its ALL highway and not my favorite ride.
I havent been in a while because there was never anything new. Did they revamp all of them?

Love it...
Now, I will be writing one to request those Indiana stores.. We have a market for it.. and the next town over is putting in a lot of new shops.. I wonder if they would mind me giving them a few area suggestions and numbers for property lots! LOL
No, seriously.. I'm going to write a letter on Monday...
Great job BAMB!

I think you Midwesterners need to plan a visit to your East Coast friends and we can take you shopping. Then we can visit you and hit Hobby Lobby and Archiver's! Call it a scrapbooking exchange program!
Great letter, Buffy!

yeah, I did a store search using Nancy's zip code. 244 miles to the nearest store, some where in West Virginia I think. That should be an easy drive right??? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ours is 30 minutes via the highway too but then again I live in the sticks so everything is far away. So I hit ACM, Mike's, Border's, Yankee Candle, Target, and lunch at Panera all in the same trip.
I think they are revamping all of them. When I worked at Mike's we got plan-a-grams through corporate and it was usually a company wide change.

Wow I must be a lot more North then Nancy... I plugged in my zip and my closest store at 248 miles is in West Virginia... ouch.

Me too. Strange huh? Seems like most anywhere in KY would be closer to us than WVA.

Okay, I just plotted it out on my map of Orlando. Should be really easy to find. I4N to 50E, once on 50E, look for N Primrose on the left. It's about 30 mins away from Disney. I'll be in Orlando for a week, so I will find the time to get there.;)
Thanks!

If you hear back from them, ask them to come to Illinois!! It's a great letter...wish we had the chain here. I think they would do well.

The nearest one to my zip code is 235.4 miles in Eerie, PA.
I was curious to see if there are any in the Boston area since we are going out there in October and there is one in Danvers where we will be staying! :cool1: :woohoo: We will definitely have to work in a trip to ACM while we are there.
We had thought about it on my birthday because there is one in Hagerstown, MD, which isn't too far from Gettyburgs, but I didn't feel like using more gas than I really had to plus we really didn't have time.
So hopefully on this Salem/Boston trip I can finally go to an ACM and if I'm lucky they will have a good sale going. ;)
Ladies, you really DON'T want an ACM in your area!! I have one just a couple miles down the street and it is constantly sucking me in and having me rack up charges on my credit card. I walk around trying to find something to buy with the 40% off coupon, and I am down there many sunday nights when they have their Moonlight Madness sales - for 3 hours 20% off your entire purchase.
Our ACM is so close that I can just pop in there when I have some free time - like today - I have some things to do and ACM is right on the way so I will stop in and just browse around...and you KNOW that you can't just browse around in a craft store without buying something! Our store doesn't have a lot of turnaround with employees so you get to *know* them - and I have found out that I am not the only one who goes in there at least once a week. :) My kids (8 & 12) also love it and we have our favorite sections - ds12 likes the drawing tablets and clay sections...dd8 likes the kids craft sections, the paints (they go on sale 3/$1 often and we stock up - foam brushes were 20/$1 this week) and the holiday and flower sections.
I have to applaud them on doing a decent job on keeping up with the latest scrapbook selections - still can't believe they have all that great Basic Grey paper now - at it was recently 50% off!! They also have decent sales on adhesive and I stock up then. If you time it right and follow their sales you don't pay full price for any scrapbooking materials - paper, stickers, albums, adhesive, etc. - it ALL goes on sale at different times.
So if you want to stay away from financial ruin and keep your self control - DO NOT LET AN ACM COME INTO YOUR TOWN!!!!! :thumbsup2
Jill
P.S. Yzerbear19 - did you get the link to this store that won't be too far from you during your trip??
http://www.absolutelyeverything.com/
I was there years ago and it was worth the trip.

Yzerbear! The Danvers store is *my* ACM! They know me well there! What hotel are you staying at in Danvers? I'm not sure if you saw this on the other post when I mentioned it - I live in Peabody, grew up in Salem, so if you need any trip planning advice, let me know!
You MUST make a trip to Absolutely Everything that JESW mentioned while you are here if time permits. That's my LSS. I try not to go there too often because that is my credit card danger zone! At least ACM has sales to justify my spending - not so at AE. But you will find some pretty amazing stuff there. It's just one town over from Danvers - a short drive up the highway.
Let me know if you need a personal scrapbook tour guide!
