In case you're not familiar with this, you count the number of pages you get completed with journaling and pictures (unless the page isn't ever going to have journaling, then it's complete with just pics) and post here. I'll keep it updated for us! You can post daily, weekly, whenever. . .whatever works for you!!

We actually have 2 mascots. We have a "Volunteer"--picture a guy dressed up in a Davy Crockett type outfit, and we have Smokey, the blue tick hound. He was picked in the 1950's or so by the student body as a mascot. At a pep rally back then, they had several different choices as candidates. Smokey howled, and the students loved him. For football games, there is a Smokey in a costume, and then there is a real live Smokey--he's Smokey the 8th or 9th now in the line. There are 3 costumed Smokeys--one that's a girl for the Lady Vols (we are one of only 4 schools with completely separate athletic departments for men and women), one that's male for the Vols, and one that has younger features for both departments. Probably more than you EVER wanted to know about UT mascots--I was a graduate assistant for the athletic department, so I apologize for the over explanation!!

Back to the scrapbooking challenge, I tried to get a lot done this week because I always go through a "pixie dust hangover" slump when we get back!! It's all yours, Nancy!! ;)

But, I had major work deadlines and 2 birthday parties & a first communion to plan for the first weekend. I was all excited that I got to scrapbooking that the beginning of this week.

Then ... I looked for the June group. Holy crap ... now I'm intimidated! You all are already up to the 6th page of this thread. And some of you have sooooooo many pages.

Who are you people? Whatever you are taking, can you market it? I'd be willing to purchase it.

13 is still great - any amount that moves you forward I think is :banana: Summer is my time to catch up on everything that went by the wayside during the school year, so I'm hoping for some impressive totals. Unfortunetly, family has kept me from getting anything done the past two days - I tried to scrap quietly last night so not as to disturb anyone, so I only accomplished 4 pages. :mad: I've wanted to do so much more, but limited by the constraints of living with my parents at 26...maybe I'll get more done when I move back to school next fall! Welcome aboard!! :yay: Don't be intimidated!! 13 pages is wonderful!! I'm like Macca, the only reason my numbers are good this month is because it's summer vacation. In February, my total on the board was a whopping 0!! Any page you get done is one more memory preserved.

I just love these challenges because everyone is supportive and that keeps me motivated! :cheer2:

Sure! Just use my photobucket bandwidth by right-clicking on the blinkie and choosing copy image location. Then just go to edit siggy, click on the picture button (the yellow one that looks like a mountain) and paste the URL into the box. You're all set! Sorry if that was condescending. Got another 7 done last night, took a nap after getting home from DD last day of school (water day) we were exausted! and then couldn't get to sleep so I scrapped!
I have an official 2nd grader in the house! just have to do a proud mommy moment......she is reading 4th grade level and was one of 6 1st graders (120 at school) to get through her 1000 site words and one of 4 who read over 1000 books for the year, so proud of my princess: :love: :banana: :cool1:

I am up for the 150 challenge, doing some today and DD is going to a swim party/play date most of Friday so will get lots done! DD has a dance out for recital Sat morning and then we are taking DH to San Fran overnight for daddy day!

I did it........got another 22 done today (finished gymnastics and dance pics) that puts me at 156 :dance3: for the month :woohoo: :yay:

I really lucked out today though, DH came home at 10:00 and took DD to work with him, then to swim lessons and dinner, they didn't get home until 7:30. So I scrapped my rear off, literally, I think I've lost all feeling in it :rotfl: .

Plus my bug came today and I'm :love: it! played around with it a little, but will do some real items tomorrow, can't wait to start creating pages with it.

Thanks Jenn for my new blinkie, got 2 done today since I was playing with my bug :love: made a mickey and minnie, they are sooooo cute.

I am going to shot for the 200 pages, the only thing that will stand in my way is if my friend goes into labor early, I'm taking her two girls while she's having the baby, her doc told her today "any time" she's at 3 cm and 90% so could be tonight for all we know.

Going to try to do a few more pages tonight after DD goes to bed, DH is on biz trip for a couple of days, so my nights are free.

okay...I have been totally unmotivated since I got my 5 pages done at the beginning of the month...but seeing how many pages you all have got done has in fact motivated me to spend this weekend scrapbooking...amybe I can finish my (*gasp*) SeaWorld pictures...that and the fact that my LSS is have a "birthday" sale and has their 12X12 cardstock on sale for $0.40/sheet instead of $0.75/sheet so I am going to figure out what colours I need and stop in tomorrow after work....and then I'm going to scrap...scrap...scrap...all weekend long!!!!!!! I'd love to get 50 pages done this month....what am I saying...I'd love to have as many as mommy2mrb has got done!!!!! mommy2mrb you are the scrappin' queen!!! :worship:

Well, the leader smiley is permanently gone from my name! Way to go mommy2mrb - I'm very impressed with your progress, and you all inspire me to go on. Still working on the Gaudi cathedral pages - finishing those will complete my 150 goal. Tonight I got 12 done. :banana: Actually took some time to do it, was pleased with myself. The cool thing about these pictures is that I went back to the old ones and was able to see a difference in the construction in just the 2 years between my visit. I'll have to get back to Barcelona when (if) they complete it - I'll be an old woman then, but what a cool thing to see - an actual cathedral in progress then completed. Thanks for the kuddos ladies, I've been very lucky this month having as much free time as I had, plus my DD usually lets me work a couple hours each day, thank goodness I "trained" her to be able to entertain herself. My goal is to have all my old stuff (2004 to now) caught up by September as I will be spending more time at DD school this fall.

I've gotten another 12 done the last two days, but that will be it until next week.

My friend had her baby last night, we were watching their girls and getting them ready for bed when we got the call their new baby brother arrived! so we rushed right over to meet the new little man Caulder, he is a major :angel: , my DD had never seen a brand new baby (he was only an hour old) and was on :cloud9: and we were able to hold him for a few minutes. We will have the girls again tonight for a sleep over, DD has a b-day party and dance rehearsal on Sun so my weekend is filled with lots of screaming little girls:eek:

I am hoping to get around 40 for the month done. Let's see if I can do it between now and Friday. With the kids volunteering at VBS, no one will be around to bother me. I just need to stay off the computer. :)

some lake overflowed, apparently it is pretty common because they were showing pics of newer homes up on at least 12 foot stilts. Most of the houses were not finished yet though. The sun was shining behind the news crew though. I hope it stays that way.
