DF has picked out this zoot suit tuxedo thing (zootux I believe?) but this means that he and his best man would be wearing hats. I know it's not a "chapel" per se...but I feel that wearing a hat inside the wedding pavilion may not be appropriate. And I am most definitely against them wearing the hats at dinner (but I guess they could just take them off there and deal with the hat hair! ;) ). What do you think...will it be tacky to wear a hat inside for the ceremony or is it just a hang up that i should get over? BTW...I am THRILLED that DF took the initiative and picked some tuxes!

I say let him wear the hat. I'm sure other people have worn hats there, so it shouldn't be inappropriate. Its his wedding day, he should be able to wear whatever he wants :goodvibes

LOL! You're right...it is his wedding day too and he hasn't asked for anything but this. I think the tuxes are cute, I was just afraid it wouldn't be "right". Ah...what the heck...hats it is! :thumbsup2

Here's a picture of a zootux (we couldn't find this around here so DF is ordering a white one from After Hours)

Here's a red Zoot Suit...think Tom and Jerry!

I say let him wear it. I know that traditionally men are supposed to remove their hats when they enter a building, but it's part of the look and in this case, and completes the tux. You may raise a few eyebrows from the older of more traditional guests, but they'll get over it. It's YOUR wedding afterall.

I would say go for it as well Diane, although I would still make them take them off for dinner though :thumbsup2

I think it looks great and I think that he's going to look adorable in that suit.
