Dining Plan after check-out

We are thinking of going to Chef Mickey's after we check out of the GF and before our flight home. Can you still use the remaining credits of your Dining Plan even after you've checked out of your resort? Any personal experience on this?

Your DDP credits are good until midnight of the day you check out.. Have fun..

We did have a little fiasco last summer.....

We checked out & hung out in Epcot for the day because we had late flights. We had lunch at Le Cellier & when we gave our derver our KTTW card, she came back and said that we had no credits left.

We knew this was wrong, so the manager called the BWV and they worked it out between them. They assured us that our cards would be working, so we hit the nut cart for some roasted nuts for the flight home.....

Once again, we were told that it was "declined", so we paid for our nuts and went to the resort to get it straightened out. At the resort, we were once again told that the credits were there & that it should work just fine, so we headed over to ESPN where yet again, our card got boinked.

So, back to the concierge for us & we gave them our receipts for ESPN and the nut cart & they credited our room.....

We got CS lunch at Captain Cook's after checking out and had no problem. I did have trouble in MK getting a Dole Whip with a snack credit. I think it was the CM who had trouble, but he eventually fixed it.

We checked out on 5/19 and didn't leave for the airport until 5:30 pm We used our credits all day, at POP and the MK without any problems...

Last year we checked out of POFQ and drove to the Poly for breakfast at Ohana. We wanted one last blast before the 8 hr drive home. We had credits left and used the room card without any problem. You can request a print out when you check out to show whats left. We have ADRs to do the same thing again this year.

that's good to know , because we won't be in a hurry to leave on our checkout date, so we can have a nice meal before the drive home

So from the day I check in until the day I check out, We will all receive full credits (checkin Sept 20 and check out september 26th:banana:)?:confused3

You will recivce 1 TS, 1 CS and 1 snack credit for every NIGHT you are staying, and you will be able to use them from anytime you check in until midnight on the day you check out, (so you can check out and still use them up to midnight after the check out).

We had a similar situation as Tink10 in September. DH and I checked out of Pop and checked into YC. That night, we went over to CS for our last dinner. Well, CM could not get the card to work, and to be honest, she didn't really seem to care. We went to the concierge at CS, but she was unable to help. We had to go all the way back to Pop. If we didn't have a car, it would have been an even bigger pain. They had to refund by CC for the meal. We still had snacks credits, so we went to the food court and back to the desk to get our cash refund. :mad:

By this time, I just wanted everything fixed and to enjoy our evening. When we got back to YC, I asked the concierge if we could put our 3 days of PHs left from Pop on our YC key. It took her at least half an hour to do that. I knew if we didn't we would be at Epcot and our tickets won't work. I thought everything was finally fixed, and we enjoyed my conference week.

I was back at work reviewing my company purchasing card transactions, and they charged me for the PH tickets. So, I had to call the billing department. I explained that we had tickets transferred from our stay the week before, and he asked me how this was possible. :confused3 Oh, boy! Needless to say, he finally fixed my credit card.

DH and I are going again this September, with the hopes that this will not happen again. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to avoid this? It would be greatly appreciated! :upsidedow
