When to go, Sept or Oct?

Ok, I have a question: When is the best time to go? Sept or Oct.

Originally planning on Sept 22 - 30,, We have an alternate for Oct 27 - Nov 4.

Pros and Cons for Sept 22-30.

Pros:
1) Low crowds.
Cons:
1) Still Hot (Thunderstorms)
2) Hurricane season
3) Love Bugs

Pros and Cons for Oct 27 - Nov 4.
Pros:
1) Low crowds
2) Little cooler than Sept
3) Love Bugs gone right?
Cons:
1) Still Hurricane season
2) Crowds a little heavier because of Halloween.

The crowd levels from books and tour guide have shown a slightly smaller crowd durring Sept, but that was before "Free Dinning" was announced. My DD (5 yrs old) would not be able to take the love bugs. I am leaning towards the end of OCT. What does everyone think? Any help would be much appreciated. We are camping in a 23 ft travel trailer and will be bringing our own golf cart.

Are you a tenter? If so, I would go for October for the cooler weather but we have camped the first couple of weeks of October and the weather was nice. I don't think the last week in September would be much different than the first couple of weeks in October that we stayed. On the otherhand, if you plan to do MNSSHP, I'd go with September for the lesser crowds.

I vote for Oct....We have have gone down the last week of Oct for the past 5 years and it has been great. We did experience Hurricane Wilma a couple of years ago, but it was not a "washout". We were evacuated for a couple of days, but after she passed we were allowed to return. As for the crowds, we have never had to wait in any of the parks no more than 10~15 minutes. We have always been able to go swimming and make at least one trip to the water parks.

In fact we will be there in Oct, the very same days you have listed.....

Either way, I don't think you can go wrong..... Its Disney!
