A photo from this morning...

I just thought that I'd share this with my friends here on the Photo board. :)

The background is the new "big boy" bed that we set up for my son last night (with "Ka-chow" aka Cars bedding), and the foreground... well, that part should be obvious. :teeth: :thumbsup2

We've been trying for number 2 for a little while so we're glad that it's finally happened; my wife had an medical incident at the beginning of 2006 (7 days before we left for WDW!) that means that she'll be on a medication for the rest of her life, and we were afraid that that would interfere with her ability to have the second child that we had planned on.

The only downside is that she was planning on going on a probably-once-in-a-lifetime cruise with three of her girlfriends in January... and then we were thinking that maybe she couldn't fly but I could drive her down to Florida, and while she was on the cruise, I'd make a solo trip to WDW and do some serious photography :cool1: but further investigation shows that there's no way she'll be allowed onto the cruise ship at the point she'll be at in January, so that trip is off, and we may end up losing some money in the process, too. But, in the long run, it's all worth it, isn't it? Besides, that's just that much more reason to maybe squeeze in a California trip later this year, or maybe a Disney cruise next year... :rolleyes1

If I could have, I probably would have loved going straight to the grandparent stage... although raising our little boy has been more fun than I could have imagined, I can only hope that his little brother/sister will be as easy and as fun!

I think we've done our bit to keep the pregnancy test manufacturers in business! She's taken plenty over the past year and a half or so, one time she got one that took refills but then we could never find the refills... six months ago or so she took one that was supposed to show two parallel lines if you were pregnant and she thought that it might have said so, but it was a misread... and just last week, she took two that were the plus/minus signs, and they sure looked negative to me! The vertical line was so faint as to be unnoticable. Then she finally decided to take another and got the digital this time... this is the same kind that we used the first time she was pregnant, so maybe there's something in that tester that helps. :teeth:

And yes, YEKCIM, I guess that could count as a hidden Mickey... and a hidden Nemo... and a bit of hidden Lightning even!

Congratulations! Here's to a healthy and easy pregnancy! Sorry your wife will miss her cruise (and you'll miss the WDW photo expedition), but it will be well worth it.

What a wonderful announcement. However I have not seen anyone critique your photo as this is on the photography board.

I see the great news of a new photographer coming aboard with the word "Pregnant". The blue evident on the bottom left indicates a boy.

The blurred Mickey indicates a Disney fan, and the smile I see on the top right is the proud Dad looking on.

I note a little too much noise in the photo.

I don't know what cruise line your wife is booked with, but I know with Disney Cruise Line if you can't make the cruise they will apply all of your money towards a future cruise as long as you let them know ahead of time. Worth looking into so you don't lose anything. Good luck!

:lmao: I do fear that as Jann said, it might be used a little lower down. :teeth: I think the only "company" bib in the pile is a Subaru World Rally Team one that came with the little racing outfit and steering wheel push that I bought for my son. :) I don't think that even I put hunt down a "Pentax" bib for him!

Bob, the Lotus hopefully won't be for sale until after I'm taking a dirt nap, the wife is very understanding about such things. Even if I don't get to drive it very often since I wouldn't dare put a car seat in it......!

Pea-n-Me, the cruise is a Royal Caribbean one (hey, we didn't book it ;) ), and the other three women are still going, so canceling isn't part of the plan. We knew that this was a possibility going in, so I'm not worried about it... if we lose the money, it's a bummer but we'll survive.

Thanks again everyone. I did do a photo of the same kind of test back with our first child, but I didn't have anything in the background for that one.
