My husband and I are finally looking at taking more then a week in Orlando-got annual passes in December. Except the car rental prices for the longer term are scary! We had a full size for a week in Dec from National for $162, including the taxes and fees. We've priced compacts for $250-300 for 10 days before taxes and fees!!! Outrageous! We're going May 30-June 8. Any suggestions are much appreciated. My husband and I can manage a compact without any problem for this trip.

Have you considered Priceline? We got a full-size at MCO for $17/day which was way less than we could have gotten anywhere else and we were upgraded to a SUV at no extra charge. Priceline is non-refundable, so make sure your dates of travel are set in stone. There's lots of info on TravelSheryl's website, www.biddingfortravel.com, including a section specifically for car rentals in Orlando. Good luck!

I also got an Intermediate car from National in December and the rate was around $189 with taxes and fees. I waved the extra insurance and took a full tank of gas. The total was just over $200. Not bad for 11 days.
I used the DC discount number and an coupon from the Entertainment Book too.
