Every day they have an attraction called Jedi Training Academy. Where kids get picked from the audience to fight Darth Vader or Darth Maul! There's a thread a little lower regarding some tips on how to get your child picked (holding a sign, wearing bright clothes, star wars gear).
My son is big in to Star Wars too, so I'm hoping he gets picked. We'll be there the same time, 13-16.

I wonder why?One is probably for space reasons (DL is much more cramped), and two is that the resorts do not try to copy each other exactly - which means each has special and unique aspects.

There's a lot of things that WDW will have but not DL and the other way around. Just two different parks! :)

You just missed it. The Los Angeles Convention Center had the BIG Star Wars convention and it was very interesting driving through Downtown LA to work and seeing all these people dressed up as various Star Wars characters.
