The printer is dead! It makes a terrible clunking noise, then the paper jams. We had several warning over the last several weeks but yesterday seemed to be it. It's over 5 yrs old so I can't really complain, can I?

So, my question is, do any of you have a printer you'd recommend at a low to middle of the road price? And of course, it has to love printing on cardstock!

Color or B/W only? I have an HP 1400. I got it at Target and it prints, scans and copies. It is pretty dependable. It does, however, use ink a lot. But I print invitations so I am printing mass quantities. For swaps and stuff you should be fine. I like it. Easy to use. It was probably $60 or $80. I might have even gotten it on sale.

Besides we had to make sure that you got to 1000 posts! :) That's why no one responded before now...

I have a Cannon Pixma iP4300 and I LOVE IT....it prints on cardstock and it prints photo lab quality pictures.....I like too that it has 5 print tanks so you only have to replace the one that is empty.

I had to get a new printer last week, my Canon BJC 2100 died after 15 years, sigh....

I picked up the Canon Pixma ip1600, because it would work wirelessly with my mac, the newest version is the ip1800, I think, and it is under 100.00
