We plan on doing a day trip to Cocoa Beach before we embark on Disney for 9 days. My question is........is there public parking anywhere for Cocoa Beach and where is the best area to take 5 kids? Are there places to rinse off before putting sandy bodies back in a car for a drive back to Orlando? I'm just trying to figure out where the best place to park and how do we clean off? Can anyone help? Thank you.
Great questions.
I'd also like to know.
Thanks.

There is public parking and showers to wash off before getting into the car. You pay about $5 for the day. I park where the pier is, there is a lot of things for the kids to see. Plus, they have an ice cream shop there. Hope this helps.

Most people park at the pier, but there are also a couple county parks south of the pier, with basic facilities. If you want to be in an area with lots to do, stick with the pier area.

You should stick to the pier in Cocoa. But we like to go to Jetty Park in Port Canaveral. They have a concession stand, clean facilities and a nice beach. We have two little ones and find that Cocoa beach is too rough. The beach at Jetty Park has less surf for some reason. Depending on the day, you can see the ships leave too! Just a suggestion!
