We're staying in Building 1 (I think they call it the tower building) of Hojo's. When we want to go to Mimi's, do we have to go down to the light on the corner of Harbor Blvd, or can we cross the street in front of HoJos and enter Mimi's parking lot there? Is there a crosswalk or a light there? I can't quite make it out on the satellite photo from HydroGuy's "How Close Is It", post.

You don't have to go to the crosswalk, Just hop across Manchester (I think that's the name of the street) and you're in the MiMi's parking lot. This is also how we walk to the park. You can cut thru the parking lot to save time.

Thanks DM! That's great! I was showing my daughter and SIL that satellite photo last night and mentioned how great it would be if we could cut through Mimi's parking lot to get to the parks.

Walking to the parks in the morning will be fine, but we're getting ART passes for the end of the day and any afternoon breaks. Hope ART's system is better than the system they had in 2001 when we stayed at HoJos. Waiting for the bus was one of my husband's pet peeves back then. Patience is not one of his virtues. :rotfl:

Don't think Art goes to HoJos could be wrong but never saw one there. Its only a 10 minute walk to the gate, probably only 5 min from ART pickup point at the park, wouldn't worry about ART....

HoJo is definitely on the ART line, but to the OP, I'm afraid it is the same system you experienced in 2001. Not much improved. We prefer to walk both ways.
