DVC vets - best route VB to WDW?

I know it's been probably been asked a zillion times, but I can't find it with this search:rolleyes: - which route do you recommend from VB to WDW? We'll be making the switch mid day on a Weds. :confused3 (we'd rather make time than do 'scenic'). TIA !!!

Hi,

I can't recall the route from memory, it has been a few years, but each time I have done the drive, the front desk at WDW or Vero Beach provides a written map and directions. Never had difficulty following them, and it was a direct route. Hope this helps..

I 4 E to 528 E
41 miles on 528 E (portions toll) to Exit 42A I 95 S to Miami
49 miles on I 95 S to Exit 156 CR 512 Sebastian
Left onto CR 512 E
3 miles on CR 512 E
Right onto CR 510
9 miles on CR 510
Right onto A1A
Left into resort

2 hours, 110 miles

alternate to 528 from WDW is to take the 417 north (portions toll)
I-4 is shorter & quicker, unless there is heavy traffic, accident or bad weather

JIMC gave great directions but, going from WDW to VB. If you follow his directions in reverse you'll get there!!

We took 528 out of MCO Airport and got onto A1A around Cocoa Beach and drove down the coast to the VB resort. It was a nice pleasant ride, we prefered it to the boring highway on 95. It takes about an extra half hour.
