It is "mushroom" time thru the summer and Mythos has a great appetizer with mushrooms. It is button mushrooms in a bread bowl with a thick creamy sauce. Really good. They also have Chicken and pasta with mushrooms and the Bistro Filet has mushrooms added to it.
For those of us that go back a long way, THE CORVINA IS BACK. I was just there today and the corvina is back and not quite prepared as it was 4 years ago but just as good as it was four years ago. :cool2:

Woohoo! Good news! :woohoo: I love mushrooms. I may have to change my mind & go for dinner again, instead of lunch. Yes, I'm a fickle female. :rolleyes1 In my defense, I can't eat both an appetizer & entree for lunch. ;) So, what's the news on the dessert front? Any changes, suggestions, etc? BTW, when you say, "thru the summer", the menu will still be the same in July, right? (Yeah, I know July is in the summer. Just checking to make sure.)

MIB999999,
Any way we could convince you to pick up & post a copy of the new menu (inc. desserts) the next time you're at Mythos? We would be forever grateful. :worship:

It's so funny that you mentioned the Corivina. I just now came home from a wonderful restaurant and had Corvina!!!
So Mythos doesn't have the Corvina sitting on that wonderful broccoli rabe any more??

I literally gasped out loud when I read this. The original Mythos' corvina was absolutely the best seafood dish I've ever eaten (and I eat seafood out a lot.) Any idea if it's on the menu to stay or if it's just there for the summer? We're not scheduled for Universal until Nov. My luck it's a temporary menu item.
What was the price of the corvina? I know that sea bass had gone sky high for a while there. How is it prepared?

I loved the corvina they had years ago! We ate at Tchoup Chop this week and the chef special was corvina in a lobster creme sauce, had to have that! YUM!

It was on a bed of Youkon mashed potatoes with sauted spinich. it was served with a tomato sauce with little cherry tomatoes and the Corvina was grilled with a spiced bread crumb coating. The original i remember had sliced ripe or clamata olives around the edge. this version was different but was very very good. The price was $18.95. It is on the menu and not just a special item, at least for now. :cool2:

That sounds YUMMY! I have to laugh when people complain about prices at Mythos. The Corvina I had the other night (in Philadelphia) was $33.95 and only came with asparagus and pea risotto.

I haven't been in a few months, busy doing other things.
If you have a digital camera, snap a picture of the menu in the glass case and send it to me. I'll add it to the web site.

The new preparation still sounds delicious and $18.95 is a VERY good price for Corvina.

There's a fairly recent menu on All Ears, but the Corvina isn't on it. I wonder what else is missing or different. None of the menus for the other in park restaurants include the dessert menu. I also wish the menus included wine lists. We can't be the only ones interested in dessert & wine. I wonder why they omit those. :confused3
