***Christmas in July Present Swap-Sent/Recieved***

I am going to start handing out SOME of the names. I am just handing these out randomly. The second half of the names, will come out at the closing of this exchange on either the 31st, or June 1st.


You can send your gift out from now, till the send by date which is-Friday June 15th, BUT all gifts are to be opened no sooner then July 1st- Christmas in July :santa:.

Before July 1st, I will post another thread that you will post what you had recieved on there, not this thread. This is going to be alot of fun :dance3: .

Just so you know it may be delayed just a bit past June 15th, we are heading to Disneyland in 12 days and what a great place to get the Christmas in July gifts so I hope the 3 we got don't mind!!! You could always think of a creative way to wrap it. Like a gift basket way, you could use tissue paper and a gift bag, or some other way.

I thought it was quite fun to get the Christmas wrap out this morning and wrap presents....I have a friend who shops all year and wraps stuff as she buys it and stores it until Christmas...if I ever have an empty closet to store stuff, I decided today to start that! The person who I had will be getting a package then an envelope because I am a dork... I took his package to the post office all gift bagged and packed in a box... they said it was "oversized" and was going to cost over $20 to ship?!?!? BUT I could put it all in a flat rate box for $8.95 or something... so I loaded it in that box it lost its gift bag and its "wrapping job" now consists of tissue paper wrapped around the edges of stuff... but it gets better I get it done posted look at the counter there is the gift card that goes with it... the woman said it was posted so I could not have it back to open it and stick it in SO I got a card and put it in there I wrote Christmas in July on the return address on the card too but I feel like a huge dork hopefully as it is a kid the stuff inside will make up for the crummy wrapping job :flower3:

We saw Ratatouille last weekend. DH is making me a yellow cake with chocolate icing. My favorite!!!!!! Probably go out to eat on Friday.

This weekend we have a birthday party on Saturday for my GF. Her birthday is 6/22. I love to tease her that she is so much older than I am by 364 days. Then we go out of town for a high school graduation.

So not much more we can do this weekend.

Thirdly, I did send mine off to my faraway friend. The whole dilemma of whether to ship or not- I finally shipped. I hope she enjoys it :)

As far as DM...she was a "young" 87...ready to go to WDW with us this October - we even have her air tickets...made 3 trips there with us last year, including our first "4 Generation Trip to the World" ...but something happened in January...she may have fallen, not hurt, but now, she is depressed...maybe she just feels so much more vulnerable...but physically she seems so fragile now, we are hoping this whole family visit...and some special doctors that we have set up appointments with can help her and us to care for her in a better way.

I am confussed. I had recieved a package today, and the senders name said-Disneys Days of Christmas, and it was from a Florida address. Since I am the organizer of this exchange, I know that none of my pals are from the state of Florida so yes, I opened it, and the card didn't have a name on it.

You know, mine hasn't bothered me until this week. I want the box off my kitchen table, I want to know what's inside! I may open mine Friday and let dd do the same. I'm gone Sat and Sun 15 hours each for work and then we have fireworks (Independence Day) at church Sunday night. I might be too tired to open it Sunday!

Well, let me tell you, dd and I had a blast opening our gifts! We decided this was one of the most fun exchanges, although they've all been great!

Dd got from disneygirlatheart's ds (and he knew just what to get a teen girl):
- a Disney princess spa beauty bag with lots of fun stuff she can take to camp next week
- Mickey flip flops
- Mickey shampoo bottles

I got from KimRaye (who really paid attention to what my wants were!):

- an adorable snowman light that changes colors (I've been wanting something different for my mantle this Christmas)
- very cute snowman hand towels
- a Santa shopping list
- two Disney ornaments to start my new collection!
- a Mickey tissue box cover
- three antenna balls (I want to have several to leave on my family's pillows along with trading pins for our big Disney trip! Patriotic Donald is on my car this week!)
- candy canes!
