May five people stay in a 1 bedroom villa? I know it would be cramped, I was just wondering if 5 people are allowed to stay in one.

Nope, only children under the age of 3 can count as a fifth person. If they are old enough to require a park pass, they count as a full body. I'm not sure if this holds true for AKL though, because they do have a sleeper chair in some rooms but I think it is for the two bedroom rooms. I guess if that's the case though, they may have them in the one bedrooms too! Then 5 people can stay (I think!)

I just watched the DVD that was sent out in the AKV packs and yes they will accomodate 5 in a 1 br(don't know if that is in the converted rooms at Jambo House or just in the new building). They will have a chair bed(looks about twin size from diagrams).

Before this thread gets closed, the answer is YES. At least for now, it may change in the future. We are a family of 5 (with the youngest over the age of 3) and always book a 1 b/r. At the time of booking MS reminds me that they will not provide extra bedding or linens for the 5th person, which is no problem as we bring our own air mattress. You can also buy an add'l towel pack for $6. HTH!

dis-happy is correct, Member Services has been allowing 5 in a one bedroom unit...but NOT in studios. They will not provide additional bedding, a roll-away or cot.
As occupancy is a hot topic on the DVC Boards, it is limited to this thread, where you may continue the discussion if you wish.
