We had a horrible summer last year with those nasty little buggers. They ate through my rose bushes, even after I applied Sevin to them.
Here's my Love and Peace rose, my favorite, before the devastation!

grubs in lawn turn into the beetles so if you can get rid of the grubs....i've used those beetle traps and they work ok

I have some spray for my lilies that I believe is also for roses. It by BAYER in a blue spray bottle. It works GREAT for the lilies beatles and I would assume just as good for others!!

Anything with imaclopramid in it would do the trick. The Bayer Flower and Rose spray you mention has it, and works well. Great on lily leaf beetles, too.
