Not literally, of course. Say you need him/her. Can you reach them by phone? Are they lurking in the hallway?
Can you tell I'm a first timer? hee-hee (nervous laugh)

Having just been on out first cruise this past June I can't really remember if there is a number you can call to reach him/her but our experience was that no matter what time of day we went to the room we would always see our steward either in the hall or cleaning one of the other rooms or in the laundry section. There are always one of them around so if you don't see yours right then I'm sure one of the others would get him for you. Hope this helped some.:smooth:

We had the same experience, patches-4. Whenever I stopped by our room during the day, our stateroom hostess was almost always around somewhere in the halls. She was very accessible and also very nice and accomodating to requests.

We were on the Magic in Dec. and it seemed like our stateroom hostess was always easy to find and soo accomodating.

There's a housekeeping icon on the telephone like the ones on the resort phones and you can just press the button after you lift the receiver.
We had to use it on our last cruise, and we left a message with the person that answered the phone and gave them our cabin number and the room steward got our message and took care of it while we were out.

I agree. We never had any problem finding him. We made a point of telling him when we were heading out to breakfast or dinner so he could capitalize on the opportunity to service our room while we were gone, and he always did so. It was great.

We had trouble finding our room steward. There were many in the hallway but never ours. We just went up to whomever we could find and requested what we needed and we got it. I kind of wished I had another room steward. There was one nice guy there who always was smiling.
