So, how did you get YOUR cruise fix while the DIS boards were 'down'?

I stopped by cruise critic, and also visited dcltribute and castawayclub often...... And bothered 'Dave' with a few email's also!

I did get more work done though -- imagine that!

So, how did you survive the down time?

I surfed for other cruise sites and found a few...... but nothing like The Dis! 10 days til my cruise!!!

I checked in on the yahoo groups "disneycruise" list. I even posted the fact that we are sailing on the 19th. Thanks to gretel (Lisa) we had emails of all the other January 19th cruisers, so we kept in touch that way.

And I probably only hit the disneycruiser site about 100 times. :)

I cruised around some other sites, but I really missed my DIS.

I also visited cruisecritic.com and cruisereviews.com, but I am soo happy the the DIS is back online. I don't know if I could have made it another couple of days.

It was horrible! Got out our pictures from the "Wonder" and
the old brochure. Happy again the boards are back.

HI Woven.....I too visited Cruisecritic and saw some of your posts. I also checked out Dave's site and generally went through withdrawal.

I would check the site every hour or so and was so glad to see it came back today.

Yep, cruisecritic and Dave's site had to suffice for me too. It sure was interesting how traffic picked up at cruisecritic after awhile. I guess we all needed a Disney cruise fix!

Needless to say I am totally ready to leave tomorrow morning for the Jan. 19th Magic !!!!!!

I sure missed these boards more than I thought I would.

I just sat back and watched the DCL portion of our Disney screen saver or looked at our pictures from our 12-8 Magic cruise. I even set my wallpaper on my computer at work as a photo of the Magic at sea, taken from the sreen saver we got onboard.

I read cruise critic posts, tried on some of my summer clothes to make sure I could still get in them, read a few more posts, filled out my cruise docs, read a few more posts, called my TA to upgrade my cabin for 1/26 cruise, read a few more posts .... :)

Well, gee. I caught up on my sleep. I reconnected with my family. I got some exercise at the YMCA. And I answered a few questions from people who emailed me directly since the boards were down.

I almost emailed Dave, just to make sure I hadn't missed some horrible notice that the DIS boards were "no more"!! :D

Thank goodness that wasn't the case and we are back! (Aren't you glad you didn't have to respond to a frantic email from me, Dave?!) :earsgirl:

I don't know if anyone remembers an old post I had about printing out the trip reports as they became available over the past few months? But I was able to survive for the short term by re reading those wonderful trip reports people have taken the time to post!!

I helped alot! But not the same as the real think you know? My husband has been laughing the whole time at me!

But we'll see who has it "going on " with the infor come cruise time!

I watched my planning video and visited my TA to iron out some minor details about the trip. And checked about every two hours to make sure that the board didn't sneak up on me! I'm so glad that it's back!
