Any idea when they'll post specific info on Mardi Gras? I want to find out who'd playing for Molokai Gram Con, Feb 8th.
I tried the "special events" line but there was no Mardi Gras info yet.
TIA!

All the info I got so far is that Hootie & the Blowfish, James Brown, and Creedence Clearwater Revisited are confirmed to be there.

It's rare to see someone walk around the parks in a sparkily dress and high heels. :) I did see a Japanese gentleman dressed in a suit at Sea World once. I hope he did not get nailed by water during the Shamu show. :)

Well she was wearing shorts and tennis shoes, but it was a small and pleasent leap of imagination to the heels and sparkles.
But back to the question:: Where is JessicaR????:(

MIB: Thanks for checking. I guess the band would be playing on Sat eve Feb 9, not 8th.
2/8 is a Friday. That will be the Larry Hoppen's Band. For 2/9, it's 38 Special. But personally, 3/23 is the day to go....
Note: Isn't the edit feature wonderful.

Oh Earl, how can they have someone I never heard of!!! I was so hoping they would start out with a bang, like James Brown or someone similar. :(
Now who do you think would appeal to Earl? I know, Don Ho! :D

Earl must have been experiencing fat finger syndrome. :)
That's 38 Special, the southern rock band that does Hold on Loosely, Rockin into the Night, Fantasy Girl, Caught Up in You, etc.

If you go to http://www.pollstar.com , at the top, enter Orlando, select city, click Find. On the next page select Include surrounding cities, then put in your range of dates to check, and click Show Dates.
It will list all of the concerts in and around Orlando for your dates. :)

Just imagine it, Don Ho singing "tiny bubbles" and Earl dancing the hula. (Barry, I bet he would be better than the dancers at Sea World LOL)
Renee, I picked Don Ho because he is a crooner who appeals to old people. Even when he was a big shot here, there were rarely locals in his audience. He was especially developed for our tourist market (Hey, in Hawaii we aim to please) and is now popular with the retired set!!!
Of course, I only tease Earl about his age. I have a feeling when we meet, he won't be the oldest.
"Developed?"...... did they give him a shot when he was little? MK, I'm looking forward to meeting up when you get here. I'm keeping an eye on your schedule.

I just got some good Mardi Gras info in my passholder's newsletter:
MardiGras Hotline: (407) 224-5500
they have voice cues to get info on the bands, show times, parade times, etc
Also for the parade they are inviting Police, fire, resue workers and military people to participate in the parade but I think you have to arrange in advance not just jump in that night lol- the info is on the hotline-
