Haha, seriously. I'm this close to just stocking up on cheapo film cameras. :headache:

I can take pictures, but I'm not completely confident with it yet.

Oh well, hopefully by the time I get there I'll feel like I'm doing it right!

I had a *very* productive weekend! Well, really it was a very productive Sunday because I worked Saturday morning and then spent Saturday afternoon taking a Personal Defense Class that my husband wanted our son and I to attend. I did manage to get my carry on packed on Saturday night and then on Sunday I packed a bag with most of my shoes and all of the odds and ends stuff like Halloween decorations for the room, ponchos, glow sticks and glow earrings, dry erase boards, an extra book, pop-up hamper, etc. Then I piled up all my shorts, tops, night gowns, bathing suits and undergarments up on the bed. Now I just have to figure out how to convince my husband that I really need 15 or 18 tops for 10 days. :rotfl:

5 more sleeps!

Since the weather turned cooler here I figured I could go ahead and start packing... I sure won't be needing those tank tops this week, LOL. We're staying 10 nights and I've got about 10 tops in my pile ready to be packed. I'll probably wash clothes half way through the week. I'm figuring on two tops per day for most days. One for park touring in the morning, then after we break for a swim I'll shower and change into a clean top for dinner and our evening plans. Seemed like a good hot weather plan, I don't know. I think I have 4 capris and 2 shorts in the pile right now. I don't own much more than that so they'll have to do. I don't know about shoes though. I always wear my New Balance sneakers, they're the only thing I've been able to walk in day after day without getting any blisters. However, there's been so much rain, ick. I hate to walk around with soggy feet every day. I also hate to buy something new and get blisters.

I know. I'm having such a hard time narrowing my tops down. I want to pack like 20! I just can't decide...

Sounds great! I packed my carry-on's and whatnot this weekend as well. I'm taking two pairs of tennis shoes, one nice sandal, and one pair of flip flops for the pool etc. Probably too much. ;)

Do you ever feel like there's a conspiracy against you? I feel like everything that could possibly go wrong before we leave for WDW is going wrong. I've been dealing with dental issues for like a month and a half now, I finally got the last bit before the final piece taken care of this morning. So I'm driving to work from the dentist and my brake pedal goes straight to the floor and the brake light on the dash comes on. I pump the brakes and the car stops and I make it down the mountain alive but now there's one more thing wrong with my car. Instead of dropping my car off to the mechanic on Friday afternoon when I was done using it, I had to drop it off tonight when I still have two more days of work. You just have no idea how much I need this vacation. :hourglass

My son decided to get a cold too. Good thing we have another week to go. I'm staying away from him. ;) Tomorrow starts single digits for us.

I got up this morning to check us in for our Southwest flights... gotta get those A boarding passes! ;)

Checked in DD and I with no problem, but my mom's confirmation number and name wouldn't go through.

Well, it turns out, I booked her two flights on the same day!!! Her PIT to MCO was October 1, just like our return flights! What a boneheaded mistake to make. I did the same thing last year but caught it immediately. I was so happy to have gotten good rates too. Now my error cost me an extra $140. Still, I was able to change her flight to tomorrow as it should be, check her in online, and still get her an A pass, LOL. At least it wasn't all bad. :rotfl:

Thank goodness it was Southwest with an easy change procedure or mom might have been very very angry when she found out she was flying to Orlando and coming back home all on the same day. :lmao:

Accuweather's got "a thunderstorm possible" most days -- oh, except the day I arrive; then it's "a morning thunderstorm". Of course I have a morning flight! (That's the only time I FEAR t'storms is when I'm flying.)

For temps, they're saying high 80's during the day; high 60's/low to mid-70's in the evening. I see "humid" listed for many of the next 15 days. :headache:

Yup, that's what I'm seeing too. There might be some kind of tropical depression forming to the west of Florida, but if it turned into anything it would movie toward Texas or Alabama.

Just one more day and two more nites until Monday morning! And Disney!!

DS has a lime green Maclaren stroller and I wear a lime green bagalline. DH might be wearing lime green crocs. I will have a LGMHPC on my bag and on the stroller and on our lanyard. Please stop us and say hello.

BTW, our DS has autism so he does act "weird" at times so please don't stare, just ask if I need some help. Give me hug and say hi. Share the magic and smile.

See you all very soon, April

Hi Everyone:

Just checking in to say that we are still planning on making it to the meet on Sept.30. It will also be our first meet!

It is just me and DD4. She will be dressed as Cinderella and I will be either Snow White or a pirate.

Since I am travelling solo with a 4 year old I cannot completely commit to making it - it will depend on how we are doing and if my daughter is up to it. So if we don't make it, all the best.

Hopefully we will see everyone soon!:goodvibes

We just got home last night. I'm sorry I didn't make the meet. It was pretty much as I thought it may be... DD was not interested in the fireworks and I couldn't pull her away from the rides to make the meet. I'm sorry I didn't get to see all of you, I hope you had a fun time. We were on Thunder Mountain during fireworks. I've never seen them from that side of the park, it was an interesting viewpoint. DD thought it was absolutely fantastic that she could see some fireworks while riding Thunder Mt, LOL.

Hi Everyone -

I am just back as well. Sorry me and "Cinderella" couldn't make it. I actually decided to change our tickets from Sunday to Friday at the last minute - Thursday, actually, the day we checked in. At that point they were calling for thunderstorms on Sunday afternoon/evening.

As luck turned out, I should have left it. Sunday was beautiful. In changing the tickets I also lost 2 ADRs. Obviously should have left things the way they were.

Hope everyone had a great time!

HEY GUYSSSS!!!! I just got back an hour ago! So great meeting all of you. I haven't read the pages yet, but I have a few things to say.

Macraven, you're such a sweetie. So adorable, and thanks a ton for the glow necklace. It glowed for days. :teeth:

To the person/people who handed out the bracelets, glow things, and focker watch stuff. That was so sweet. I didn't think people actually cared that much about this meet. Sorry I didn't get all of ya'lls names, I came by in such a rush!

Sorry sorry sorry I couldn't stay longer, but I definitely had a good time while there. I am still wearing that orange bracelet and will wear it til it falls off.

Also, wasn't hallowishes awesome!?!?! Me and Jess watched it on Dumbo and were amazed. Totally awesome.

I will fill in more later, I am so exhausted and I have the unpack etc.

LOVED YOU GUYS! :)

Awesome meet, Baby Piglet! :thumbsup2 It was fun meeting y'all. The party was great - perfect weather. (not the case the next 2 days though, was it?! lots of rain!)

Were any of you at Epcot's re-dedication on Oct 1st? That was fun! I bought a couple t-shirts and one of the 1,200 Figments. :yay: I never did get near Pin Central - it looked like the standby line for Soarin'! :lmao: Now I see lots of that merchandise is on eBay! People are even selling the buttons and guidemaps we got for free when we entered the park! (I guess that shouldn't surprise me!) :confused3

Hope our paths will cross again one day. :)

Ok We got back yesterday as Jenny said. I left Disney witha sore throat and full cold by the time we landed her in Arkansas. I came home and swear slegt the next 20 hours with a wake up for a dring now and then. I was exhausted. I think I still am.

But anyways, I loved meeting you all. It turned out great. Sorry for Jenny for just stopping for a few minutes, but I think her friend came ahead of all us old people.

Wasn't the weather wonderful for our party? It was a great night.

Now who rebooked for next year and what dates?

We booked for September 27 thru Oct 11.

We booked for next year, Although my wife is still very upset and doesn't want to think about Disney right now. I however am finding this board to be a wonderful escape right now from all the pain and fear that is in our home right now.

We had to leave our vacation behind this year because her father had a Heart attack and slipped into a coma that he was unable to overcome. Unfortunately he passed surrounded by his loved ones October 6th at 2 AM. He was my best friend, (yes, my in-law!) and her closest confidante, and will be greatly missed.

I am sorry for putting a dark spot on this wonderful thread but you people would have been the closest thing to board friends that we would of had if we made it to the meet, and odds are that we will meet some of you next year at the party. I am also hopeful that I can fly our family down for a week over the christmas holidays, as that will probably be the most difficult time for us this year.

Thank you all in advance for any well wishes that you may send, (But not expected).

:grouphug: For the Daisy14 family. I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope we'll get to meet up next year when times are better.

Mrs Piglet,

We booked for September 27 to October 5 at Pop. If our financial situation doesn't improve over the next 10 months or so we're going to have a real problem but if things go well, we'll be there!

Thanks for posting hte pictures. I was just getting ready to get Jenny to teach me to post them. It has been busy since we have back. Worked over 12 hours overtime last week and will end up doing the same this week.

Not sure about you all but we had a wonderful trip and can't wait to go back. I think just is sad that is is over. She is not interested in visiting the boards right now. I thought she would be here talking up and storma nd doing trip reports. I think she will get over it as time passes.

Well, if they follow this year's schedule there should be a MNSSHP on Sunday September 28. We'll be at Pop from 9/27 to 10/5 finances permitting. No Universal this trip though. We're waiting for the Harry Potter section to be ready. :goodvibes

Hey guys, sorry I've been MIA. Love all the pictures. =)

One thing though, Eeyorefan isn't allowed to have her pictures up on the internet so if you could maybe scribble out her head or just take the picture off that'd be great. Love it though. =)

So, who's ready for another meet! Lol.

i'm looking at the calendar and will be back next year for the motherland and the darkside.

i think i might use these dates start with disney around oct 1, then move before the second weekend to hrh at the darkside.

and for my next mnsshp, i rather go on a sunday as it is less crowds.

i had thought of late sept but want to hit 4 nights of HHN at universal.
that will be the weekend of columbus day.

mr mac says i can not go for another 15 full day trip this year to the motherland and the darkside.
so, i need to cut it back to maybe 13 days.........

i still might start my trip sept 30 and return home on oct 13.
that's still less than 15 days

let me know when you finalize your plans.
i would love to be able to meet up with you again next trip!

i'll be going solo again.

I like to get to WDW the day before F&WF starts (kind of my tradition!) - of course, everything is dependent upon DH's work schedule as he has to assume "Mom" duty in my absence!

I'm also thinking about coming over to the darkside during that trip! (I still haven't activated my AP voucher which was supposed to be done by 9/30/07! :confused3)

Sorry I was hoping for a reunion also. But Jenny will be done with the homeschool high school probably by March her 16th birthday. She is looking forward to getting a job, but I am pushing for College no later the August. And with the trip hanging over our heads she was trying to push for year from January. I really don't want her out of school that long. Anyways not sure what the cost is on college yet, we just decided to cancel and then see what we could do. We even thought about a trip to Branson sometime this summer. (does anyone want to meet us there?) I really want to go back but sometimes life gets in the way.

Yes Branson in Missouri. Silver Dollar City is still there. I beleive they are Celbration City too, but I am sure it is nothing comparable to Disney. We only live about 4 or 5 hours away. Would love to get a meet there.
