Cafe mickey best time to book??

We are planning to each at cafe mickey on the last night of our stay Friday.

Could i ask you all what time is the best time to book in an evening?? 6pm, 6.15, 6.30?? the park closes at 7pm this night?? Do the characters always come out at the same times???

Can't get search to work but I think I've read somewhere that the characters aren't there between 3pm and 6pm so any of these times would be suitable, Estelle. Not sure if the characters actually come out at set times, but I would say you would see them at least twice during a meal at Cafe Mickey.

We did the same over easter - booked Cafe Mickey for our last night which was a Thursday.We booked for 6:30pm which I think is fine. The characters are out from around 6 as far as I remember. The evening worked out perfect for us - we had a lovely window table upstairs looking out over the lake. The characters seem to start downstairs and work their way upstairs. Our kids had no idea about the characters and on arrival we managed to get upstairs without the kids seeing the characters doing their thing with the diners downstairs. So when they did come around upstairs, our kids had just finished their main courses so the fun could begin !! perfect timing.
It was a terrific finale to our trip - thoroughly recommended for that priceless look on the kids' faces.
With regards to the closing time of the park, this doesn't effect the closing time of Cafe Mickey as it is located outside the park in the disney village.

Amazingly, we managed to get in to Cafe Mickey at 5.45pm on a Saturday night without booking. It's a really good experience for the kids. Highly recommended...
