Yes, I'm back, with back meaning I'm at Chantilly for my workshop week.
I'll try to post my trip report in between case studies and presentations, and if the cable I brought with me is the camera cable and not the iPod one, you might even see what I have been eating yesteday ;)

I had to go for work to Chantilly for a week of "consulting skills workshop", which started on Monday at 8 am. Therefor, we were expected to check in on Sunday, but there would be no dinner served.
So, since I had to drive to Paris (well, it's not really Paris, but it's close) and had to eat, I had planned to first spend the day at Disney and then go to the place where the workshop would be.
I left Sunday morning around 10.30 am, and arrived at Disney at 2 pm. During the way there, it had rained and rained and rained... and it had rained even more. But, as I drove up the parking, the rain stopped raining! Lucky me!!! :goodvibes
I parked my car all the way in the back, but very close to that covered walk area. It isn't farther to walk then when you're closer to the park, but all the way on the side, and this way, in case it would be raining, I wouldn't need to walk in the rain. Sometimes i'm so smart! It just scares myself. :scared:
I was wearing my Crocs, but I changed them to sneakers, because I didn't want to be walking around with wet feet in case it would rain again. But by the time I had reached the Village, I already had a huge blister on my foot! :headache: Oh well!
Not too many people wanted to get into thepark, and then there I was. For the first time at DLP alone... I have been to DL and WDW alone, but this was the very first time I was at DLP all by myself. And I was hungry! So I decided to have lunch at Mr Toad's. Single fish and chips. No drinks. I know, I can be so cheap at times!

After lunch I... did some rides, I guess... And I watched the parade!

After looking at my pictures, I remember what I did: I first went on the Storybookland boat ride. After all this time, I still don't know what this ride is called at DLP, but this is what it's called at DL :)

After that ride, I went to the front of Main Street to see the parade, and more importantly, to take pictures of the parade. Pictures of the back of the floats. Next time, I'll take good pictures of the front :)

After the parade, I did some rides, like Phantom Manor...
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y36/sandravb79/DLP%20200705/P1020498.jpg
I saw Tarzan, I went on POTC, I watched these ducks going for a walk...
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y36/sandravb79/DLP%20200705/P1020502.jpg
Took some pictures for maybe a Photo Quiz somewhere in the future (ha, I'm not posting those pictures now!) and did some shopping. Didn't buy anything though.

At around 6.30, I left the park, and went to the Village to have dinner at Annette's.
I had a menu with Diet Coke, Eurochick and Brownie a la mode.

All was very good, and at 7.45, when I paid, the wait staff started dancing. It was fun, but there was no energy to it. i'm used to better entertainment at Cafe Mickey (I know, i'm so spoilt). But it was fun to see!

After dinner, I walked back to the car, and was glad it was still there. Btw, you can see how far in the back of the parking lot it was! There where the covered walking area starts/ stops!

And then I left Disney, and headed for Chantilly, hoping I would find the other chateau!
Thankfully, I had no problem finding it!!

It's great to see that the company spends it money well... :rolleyes1
Btw, if you think some Disney restaurants (like Manhattan) serve GREAt food... that looks like fastfood compared to what we got served here! The cook runs the whole training facility (you can be late for everything, but never for breakfast, lunch nor dinner!) and all the most wonderful dishes are accompanied by the best wines. I really like to go there, too bad I always gain so much weight! :rotfl2:
I spent the week here, until Friday, 2 pm; And then I went with a colleague to visit yet another chateau, the one from Chantilly, which was very beautiful.

Around 4.30 we left Chantilly, and I was home around 8.
Two more days, and I am again on the road to DLP!!!!!!

It's part of a ride, the Pays des comtes de fées or something like it, next to Casey JR. It's all the way in the back of Fantasyland, you have to go under the train tracks to get there.
Unfortunately, it isn't open in the winter time..
