View Full Version : Booked $139.000 Club @ RP!
Well, I did it! I called the 800 -UESCAPE # & was able to get the $139.00 club level rate at Royal Pacific! Loew's had no idea what i was talking about but the lady at this # was very helpful & found some dates I could go, seems as though the weekends were sold out at that rate. So I'm going Aug. 5-8! :) Anyone else going that week?

And I SWORE up and down I would never be caught dead in Orlando in the summer....
That is an awesome rate, BTW! I sure hope the Royal Pacific is a good match to it's predecessors!

I also got the $139 a night rate for a Club level room for 3 nights, August 22-25, 2002, at the Royal Pacific Resort. First time to US/IOA, then heading to WDW for 4 nights at YC. Hoping our 2 teen boys will like US/IOA, what do you think?? We love WDW!

How are you guys getting that $139 rate for club level. I am going in July and might try to book
As far as I know it was not available in July, but it's a fan club rate & I called the 800uescape #.

Do you have to give them a fan club number to get the rate? I know you need the card and will be getting one however I dont' have it in hand yet.

This is a fantastic rate. I also booked at the RP for July. Our rate is $99 a night. I'm not a fanclub member but got the ET rate. I needed 2 rooms, so for us it's a good deal.:pinkbounc

No, RLMS, you don't have to give them a card number, there is no number on the card anyway (not the one I have). You just have to show your Universal Fan Club Card at check in, so call now!! 1-800-837-2273 and good luck. I got the $139 rate for end of August 2002.

We got the $139 rate for the Club Level, August 22-25, 2002 at the Royal Pacific Resort! We have never been to US/OIA, so we are excited and happy with the rate. It gives us a club room on the 7th floor of the convention center tower. Does anyone know which building the convention tower is or will be if not done yet?

Sharon, why wait that long!! When I get back from my cruise lets meet up for lunch or early evening!
So how about it all from Ft. Myers or The Cape (not Cape Cod!), it took me awhile to get used to the Cape not being Cape Cod!
I am back in town Feb.10th.
But I'm still going to try for the Turkey weekend too ;)

Right now I'm booked at $99 Standard view. Is the Club level really worth $40 more a night?
What's the deal? Free snacks? Anything else? Is the room nicer and a better view?
Thanks in advance!
Mike J
01-31-2002, 10:35 AM
Let's see :
The club level is on the 7th floor. It has a continental breakfast, snacks and drinks through the day, evening reception having food of some type, beer, wine. Private concierge, 24 hour room service, robes to use during your stay. Did I leave anything out? :)
Hope this helps :)

Wow, that was quick!
Thanks for the info!
So what about the room? Is it basically the same as a regular standard room?
Also, the Universal website states that RP's club rooms are on the 7th floor of the "convention center tower". I wonder what that means. Does that mean it's not in the main hotel buidling?
Thanks again!

Well, I figure I usually spend $30.00 on breakfast for the four of us. Then it's nice to come back for a snack & drink in the afternoon. I have only done club at The swan, nad they even had bottled waters you could take with you in the afternoon so it was wel worth it. I'll give it a try this once & see if it is. But it's unlikely that this rate will be available long so I'm taking advantage of it! :)
Mike J
01-31-2002, 10:57 AM
Yes it is the same as a regular, just on the 7th floor. I'm not sure what building the convention center tower is. We were down at Universal in October and the hotel is huge. I'm sure the room and club level will be as nice as the Hard Rock.

Well, I just switched over to the Fan Club rate of $139 for "Club Level" rather than the Entertainment rate of $99 for a standard room.
He also told me it's private key access thru the elevator, daily newspaper and turn down service and that the evening reception is from 5 - 7. He also mentioned all the other things mentioned here.
I'd love to see pictures of the HRH's club level, thank you!
Thanks for everyone's help.:D

I am up for that- days when the kids are in school are best for me, or why not have a family meet at the waterpark when it opens in March?

school days are best for me too but I think Sharon works at a school. I have to think about the water park thing because I don't usually go to them I was at Six Flags NE when someone died & I can't get myself to go back to one.
I've been on the look out for Barry myself!
What about lunch at an outdoor cafe maybe at Bell Tower or downtown?

Let's meet up...I do work in the school system though so school days will be hard for me....what if we meet at The Disney Store (LOL) in the Mall or something or maybe Lakes park (but that is kind of big to find people that we have no idea of what each other looks like).....say on a Friday evening...we can bring our kids & get them to all meet too!! I don't want to wait for Turkey day....or March...tell me when & where & I will get there!!!! (just not during school hours  )

I'm only 5'2 but probably wide enough for you to hide behind Barry!
I'll be at MGCon too- In fact we'll be there 2/7-2/11...
but I just don't anticipate staying together with the group too much because of the logistics with my son & not being able to stay at the HRH this time. We will definately be at the Mythos lunch and I told my daughter I would try to convince MIB9 to shoot a round with her gun so she could have her pic taken with 999999 on her birthday, but other than that I have to play it by ear.
- Sorry about your bad water park experience CPM -trust me Sunsplash is no Six Flags, but I think I like the mall idea better anyway LOL!! I guess we'll have to work out the details for meeting via email.

Last time we stayed on the club level they offered, cereal, fruit, donuts, assorted pastries, bagels, toast, juices, milk, etc in the morning, in the evening they had deli sandwiches one night, some kind of chicken dish another night, and fresh baked cookies for snack around 8-9pm. Beer, wine and mixed drinks (make your own) were available during the evening layout. This was about a year ago when the hotel first opened.

ask to have each day checked for a one day reservation ONLY with fan club discount at the club level, then, when she found one day (Aug 1, in my case) had her add one day at a time until we had the amount of time I wanted. It helps if you can be flexible with your check-in day. I have to repeat, again, how wonderfully helpful the person on the phone was (as opposed to CRO, no comment on my travails with them this week!), totally professional and kind, not rushed, and knowledgable. Good luck!

I would guess that even when they offer a rate such as the $139.00 club rate, they only have a certain amount of rooms available at this specail rate then they start to sell the rooms at a higher rate.
