I routinely take a lot of digital phots at my kids events of all the kids involved. The parent always want me to send them to them but I usually have around a hundred photos or more--way more than I can email.

In the past I have uploaded them to Walmart.com thinking it would be easy for them to just order prints but they really seem to just want to have their own digital copies. Walmart is also SO SLOW to upload and often hiccups in the middle and I have to start all over again. I have the same problem with Photobucket. :sad2:

Can you recommend a good (free) place to upload all my photos in fairly simple and fast way so I can just send a link to the parents and they can download all or just what they want. If there is a way for them to order prints that would be an extra bonus, but I doubt they would. Most of the parents are computer challenged so simple for them would be nice.

Thanks!

There are a lot of photo sites you could use. I'm most familiar with smugmug (which isn't free but isn't very expensive either). It will do everything you want and much more. Other sites to consider include flickr, photobucket, pbase, and snapfish. I'm sure that there are a dozen others, but those are the ones that come to mind.

Another vote for Smugmug - while it isn't free, it is very easy to use. Another upside is the people you want to share photos with don't have to register or provide an e-mail address - they just go to the site.

Thank you. I may try the free trial. Do you know if they will be able to just save what I put up there to their own computer?

Also, anyone have a coupon code or friend discount that I could use to sign up there?

My referral code is bEtbgKrz9COWw.

I'm pretty sure that you have the option of allowing people to download the original JPG that you uploaded. They can also order prints directly from smugmug for a nominal charge.

Thanks. I will give it a try. I do this a lot so for that price it would be worth it.
