Well, after being on the waitlist for a month or two, within one week I got all five nights of a waitlisted GV in MARCH (sorry wrote May previously). Now I get to see what Rich is always talking about :)

Congratulations Pluto!

Are GV usually hard to get anytime? Whether at your home resort or at others? Or is this the very first time you have waitlisted for a GV? Just wondering:o

I know they're hard to get at BWV, no sure about OKW. Never had a GV before...

Pluto, when in May are you going. We will be there May 12th-17th in a Grand Villa too. Did you make any building requests? I hope that they are really nice too. We have never stayed in one and we are bringing my sister who hasn't been to WDW since 1978. Her husband who will be there too has never been at all. I must be lucky, I got our GV all 5 nights only 6 months out and didn't need the waitlist at all.

July 2000, I got a ressie for a grand villa at OKW at the four month window. I had a two-bedroom reserved and had some other people who I wanted to invite. I got the grand villa, invited them, but they back out at the last minute. I still kept the grand villa for the seven of us who did go. It was fantastic.

June of 2001, I got a grand villa at OKW at the seven month window and there were 10 of us who went last year.

My home resort is HH....

Has anyone had any luck getting an OKW Grand Villa for New Year's week at 7 months? I'm going to try for this year, but I've already warned our guests that we will probably end up with a two bedroom and an extra studio. I just keep hoping. The end of May can't get here soon enough. I don't like this uncertainity.

Actually, it's March, did I type May? It will be 3/24-29. No requests, I was just happy to get it. Afterall, how bad could it be...
