This will be our 1st cruise in May and we'd like to know what hotels are near the Port?

The Radisson at the port is the most popular. It is only 2 miles from the port but not on the beach. We just booked it for night before our cruise on 2/23. The rate was $99.00.
Check out Dave from Marietta's website which he did an excellent job explaining all the options for rental cars and hotel accomodations by the port.

I know this site will help you tremendously. It did me.

Thanks MJ, I'll go over to Dave's and check it out. As I look out the window and see the snow piling up, I'm getting real antsy for May!
Thanks again,
Ed

Ed, we only had a slight dusting here in downstate NY (13 miles from GWB)
I wish we would have a great snowstorm. If it's going to be cold, at least let's have snow. We are sailing on 7 day 2/23. Our 5th DCL cruise. Anymore questions, just give a yell.

We booked the Hampton Inn for April and used a coupon which we found on the web for a $69 rate - and it includes free breakfast. The rate is valid from 4/14 thru 6/21 with the coupon.

Go to the link I have provided to view the coupon.

Were were booked at the Radisson at $89 a night for Feb2, but cancelled and booked at the Hampton Inn for $69. The Hamptn Inn is only 200 yards from the beach and the Radisson is no where near the beach. I think the kids will enjoy the beach having suffered through an cold/icy month. I also like having a free breakfast.

The Hampton is just a little over 6 miles from the port. I also like the idea that it is close to the Publix store in case we choose to do a beverage stop. You would need to provide your own transportation to the port -either by your own vehicle or a rental vehicle or possibly even a cab.

You can see the location of the Hampton Inn, the Radisson, the Publix, and the cruise terminal on my Space Coast business locater map.

We're booked at the Radisson at the Port the nite before our 2/9 cruise. I got an excellent rate of $59 thru a special on the 'space coast accommodations' site BUT try roomsaver.com because they have GREAT discounts as well. We don't get in until 6:30 PM from MA so I thought their great pool would be great for my kids. Also, they have an Avis car rental at the hotel plus shuttles to the port. Good luck!!

If you are planning to drive down to Florida for your cuise, make sure you factor in the cost of parking your car. I think it cost about $50 to park at the dock for a 7 day cruise.
We're staying at the Radisson the night before our cruise for $89.00 (2 room, 2 king-size beds). The roomrate includes free transportation to the DCL port and free parking for our car.
Of course, if you're flying into Orlando, this isn't an issue.

The parking rates just went up. It's now $56 for the 7-day, $32 for the 4-day, and $24 for the 3-day.
