Smarties and Redbull (I use the smarties to bribe the kiddos if the wait is long - they make no mess - and the redbull is to ensure the adults make it 30 minutes prior to open)
Clothes - depends on time of year - hat - light jacket - extra change of clothes for when DH makes me ride grizzly 10 times in a row - (along with shoes, socks and other unmentionables)
Sunscreen - retractable pen for the autograph book - way to download photos because I will take WAY too many. Tickets - other trip documents - and a big happy face!!!

I sure wish I would've brought meal/energy bars. One night we couldn't find anyplace without a long line before the EL parade started and then everyplace was closed. Cup of noodles travel light so I would've packed that. I couldn't find any at Target when I got there. I would try and pick up the water when you get there though.
Clotheswise:
My favorite shorts were cargo shorts. Normally this style is not my thing, but it was great to have extra side pockets for maps and fastpasses. Loved my Crocs - switched back and forth with tennis shoes.

When we recently went to DL, I didn't want to buy the kids sodas all day so we brought a water bottle for each of us and a bunch of those kool-aid single use packets. These were great because we hardly ever drink kool-aid so they thought it was still enough of a treat and we could dilute it even more than the package says and it was still good. (We had the punch flavor and I have to admit it was good.)
Definitely wear a hat if it's summer and bring mole-skin in the backpack if your shoes are even close to being new. If you think you'll get wet, you may choose to bring an extra pair of socks. (One year we had to buy DD a 2-pk of socks because she was drenched.)
I always like to bring a big sharpie so characters can sign your t-shirt. Some people have said that they aren't supposed to sign the one you're wearing but we never had a problem with it.
Have fun.

Food: bottled water/ lunch(we like to bring our own to cut down on expense and waiting in line for lunch - then we can splurge a little more on dinner)
clothing: change of clothes (just in case Splash gets the better of us), jacket (depending on weather) hats
Other: sunscreen, sunglasses, glow necklaces(I get them from the dollar store or party supply store - it's way less expensive than buying them there and it gives the kids something to play with)

Foodwise: Eat breakfast at the hotel, we didn't stay on site, but directly across the street and they offered a free continental breakfast. Bring water and something to snack on because food is expensive there. We bought a box of rice crispy treats, some slim jims and some apples and oranges. Then around 4 or 5pm we stopped and ate dinner there. :mickeybar
Clotheswise: a sweater for late nights/early mornings, a small backpack, sunglases, ballcap and your most comfortable pair of tennis shoes. :laundy:
Can't FORGETwise: Water!! (I can't stress that enough!) Camera, a pen for autographs, advil, and sunscreen. :cool2:

It's been mentioned by other's....but bring 2 bottles of high SPF sunscreen. In case you lose one or in the event your group gets split up. A sunburned child can ruin a disney trip.
Items that when you need them, you REALLY need them - (& you don't want to schlep to a store at 1am to get). Asprin (or asprin equivilants). Tums / Pepto (or equivelents).
& for guys. I never owned a pair of cargo shorts till i went to DW several years ago. What a tremendous "hands free" invention. Those pockets down near the knee are perfect for storing sunglasses, cameras (sunscreen?) & other stuff that would be mighty uncomfortable in a pair of bermudas.
(since i'm not a backpacker & I DON'T DO FANNY PACKS :scared: ) :rotfl:

Even if you forget everything else, you MUST BRING broken in, comfy, super-soft walking or running shoes. Even with them, your feet will be sore at the end of the day. I don't want to think about what it would be like not having them. Have fun!

I am really into making all those pressed pennies...If you are too bring your own shiny pennies and rolls and rolls of quarters!! If you use the penny machines there, aside from it being dumb to actually BUY pennies becuase they are so worthless, they give you nasty dirty pennies so when you press them you can't even see the design :(
Whatver kind of a camera you have bring extra stuff for it! Extra batteries, memory cards etc, you don't want to get caught without them!

Oh yes..I am into the pressed pennies..too..I always take plenty of pennies and quarters..I got a pressed penny saver last time I was there..It was so worth it..but it is filled now..and I have to get another one..

Definitely the water bottles and flavor packets. It perks up the water, makes you feel like you're still getting some yummy drinks, but cheap! If you're going when it's warm, bring multiple bottles of water and freeze one or two during the night before, and they'll defrost during the day.
We love PopTarts for the mornings. We're gung-ho in the morning and never want to stop for breakfast.
My lesson was kid tylenol in a flavor she likes, I bought a new bottle before we left but didn't look close and it wasn't grape (it was bubble gum) and she only would eat the grape. Two days later and a high fever and I finally found grape........(when we got home we discovered we both had streph.)

I pack very little for our family because we love to shop in Disneyland, but what I will not leave home without when going to Disneyland is Large ZipLock bags. They are great for packing those stinky socks in at the end of the day!

All of the above and I second the PONCHO idea for Grizzly River Rapids- I am the one who gets DRENCHED and has to walk around with soaking wet underwear ALL day!
*I watched the exit of the ride for a long while and decided I'd be safe since everyone looked barely misted or sprinkled with water!!! :sad2:
Ponchos are COOL!
Oh!!!! And I bring diet Pepsi in a backpack (!) and get free ice cups for my big sneaky treat!

Under the poncho. Everyone laughs at me for wearing a poncho but I don't walk around all day with wet underwear. LOL
