I currently have a trade thread open for a Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat. I dont want to turn down any offers until I have a clearer idea of how much these are worth.

not that much now, as they used to be, but still pretty good, my friend got a bird hat, for his sorcerer with a couple of other cheap junk.

Wow. I would consider that a lot. LOL. What did they used to be worth? So I shouldn't settle for recently offered costumes or items that I have?

well, before they actually came out as prizes for the treasure detector, they were very popular, like everyone wanted one. But now, most people have one, so its not that great. But my friend got a bird hat with other junk for it like i said before.,.

Interesting. Then that leads me to wonder whether gold or black ears are more valuable? Also, which are wanted more?

That, to me, is a hard question because gold ears where a prize for buying a hat in the parks which would be easily obtained (and the CMs sometimes give people like three without buying anything :goodvibes ) Black Ears where a prize when you made an in park character. Both are retired so I don't know which are rarer. My guess is Black Ears.

Are black ears really retired from when you create a character in-park? When did that happen?

that was a temporary glitch. You still get black ears now in the park when creating a character, at least I read that for WDW. I am not completely sure about DLR, but I cant imagine they would do that to the west coast peeps.

I would think Gold ears would be more rare. Black ears are still available (them not being available was only a temporary glitch as already mentioned) and all y ou have to do is make a character. But not only did you have to spend money and buy a hat to get the Gold ears, you had to buy a hat from a very specific store at both WDW and DLR. Many people didn't know this. But anyway, those are just my thoughts on it.
I have a Sorcerer's Hat that I traded for here. I gave an ATIS molecules and Tiki Room Opens pin.
