Holiday April 9th 2007-April 23rd.

Friday 13th April.

HOOP-DEE-DOO REVUE.

We arrived at Ft.Wilderness Pioner Hall about 4.15pm, we had made it in good time, there wasnt anybody about yet to check you in so DH and the girls went and had a look at the horses while I waited at the hall.

The girls and DH were soon back and a lady turned up to check us in, again with a photographer to take our official photo. We had our photo taken then waited for the doors to open.
Then to our suprise Chloe was standing on the front porch with a Cast Member, she had been chosen to ring the Dinner Bell and to let everyone in.
The Cast Member introduced her and told everyone where she was from, then she rang the bell and shouted Suppers Ready, Come And Get It.

That was it everybody started to go in, you handed in your ticket and our server was at the door to take us to our table, I had booked Cat 1, so we were sat second row back in the centre great view. When we sat down she asked what we would like to drink the girls had Pink Lemonade DH and I had Sangria at this point she also brought some corn bread to the table its all done to music with your servers singing to you, theres music and singing all the time whilst they bring you your food. We had ordered two vegi meals jacket potatoe with grilled vegis was one, I carnt remember the other one, sorry. Anyway Chloe didnt eat any of them really, just picked about because she could smell all the meat around her and it put her off.
Ellie- Mae and I had loads between us. On the menu was Fried Chicken in a bucket, Smoked Barbecued Pork Ribs with loads of sauce in a bucket, Buttered Corn On The Cob and Country Style Baked beans (made with pork fat) so DH and Chloe couldnt have them either. Strawberry Shortcake for pudding.
The drinks included with your meal was Coke,Root Beer,Sprite,Orange,Pink Lemonade,Iced Tea,Apple Juice,Milk,Tea,Coffee,Chardonnay,Rose,Merlot,Sangr ia and Draft Bud Light.

The show it's self was very entertaining as you'll see by the photos, the girls thought it was hilarious and laughed all the way through it.

The show finished just after 7pm we had all had a really great time, although the food wasnt really great for Chloe and DH. It's not something I would do again but It's something I think you should see at least once if you like BBQ food and a laugh. It felt really strange when we came out, it was still bright sunshine and it was quite dark inside the show.
We made our way out and went over to the marina to catch the boat over to Magic Kingdom.

This was a really nice boat ride, however the boat was packed I think everyone had the same idea. We arrived at Magic Kingdom then got on the bus back to Pop.
So tonight we had quite an early night for us, I think we were all in bed just after 9pm.
Although today was a Non-Park day we still enjoyed a Magical Disney Day.

Tomorrow EPCOT FLOWER AND GARDEN FESTIVAL

More fantastic photos! :thumbsup2 What camera do you use Sharon - they really are brilliant? :) We've never done this but I'm thinking I might have to book for DD and myself when we stay at VWL in May 2008... ;)

PS: Compliments to your DH for his Hidden Mickey photo.. :thumbsup2

Altogether we had 4 cameras with us, I used the Fuji f20 compact camera and the Cannon 400D with 3 different lenses. The Cannon does belong to DH but I keep taking it off him. I also have the Cannon like the 400D but the film roll one, I didnt take this one this time, I knew I'd be using DH's, I left him with the camcorder, I dont like using those. :goodvibes

Sharon,
I've been enjoying your beautifully written reports with the lovely personal illustrations. It's great fun to see your family's smiling faces in the places that we all love. I must say you're a vactioner/trip reporter after my heart--having so much fun packed into one day, you had to divide this day's report into three parts. Also want to tell you that the precious photos of your girls laughing at the Hoop-De-Doo brought both tears as well as a smile. Corny as it is, it's always been a favorite among my favorites, and it was a pleasure to see your family enjoying it so. Thanks for sharing your good times.

What a lovely day Sharon. The girls look like they were having a ball at HDDR. We had thought about going there but must admit the food has got really bad reviews in the past. It sounds like the show is worth it though.
