Thanks, Caryn! The parasols were kind of a last minute thing because I have looked at some pretty cute pictures with beach shots and girls holding them; I’m excited to see how it turns out. :umbrella:

Thank you everyone for all your wonderful messages! The wedding was fantastic; I couldn't have wished for more. We had the best day (weather wise) out of our entire trip- sunny and 75 degrees; I didn't even need my jacket at the dessert party! I just got in late last night and have to work long days for the next few days, but I will try to start a little on the TR by the weekend. I met up with several other dis brides when I was down there, so I have a ton of stories. I don't have any real pictures of the ceremony yet because I haven't gotten pictures from other people yet. Here are a few quick shots of the wedding day. Sorry about the size of the pictures, I'm having problems with Photobucket.

The funny thing is that since Kris is still working in Ohio until April 18 it doesn't seem that much different yet :) Thankfully, he'll be up most weekends and we'll be working on our condo so we can move in when he officially moves home. I am so relieved to have the wedding over though and am happy that we are finally married :cool1:

I was surprised, my guests really noticed the snowglobes and took time to check them all out; it was cool to hear them talking about them even after the wedding. The only disappointment was that I forgot to have someone turn them on (most of them light up and have blowers for the snow). :cheer2:

The juices were orange, passion fruit, and mango juices. They didn't end up charging us anything extra since we were already having a juice bar, which was a nice surprise :thumbsup2

Thank you so much! It did truly feel like a magical day. I think despite everything we went through last year with my accident and Kris’ dad it was amazing to see how wonderful the wedding turned out.

The one downside about Figment is that he is one of the characters that is not allowed to be at any outside events. He can only appear at his attraction for some licensing reason. I wanted to have him make a real appearance at our dessert party!

I was really worried about this too and surprisingly most of our guests did notice the little details. We had so many people thanking us for inviting them and for everything that we did to make each person feel welcome. That was the best part to have all of our guests still talking about everything a month later and saying how it was the best wedding they have ever attended.

We had a down home country at-home reception at my parent's ranch a few weeks after the wedding with good old fasioned home cooked food in huge roasters, a bonfire where we roasted smores and marshmallows, outdoor games like washers and croquet, and an old fashioned hay ride. Here's a quick overview; we're ordering the invitations this weekend, so I will try to post some pictures next week.

Our party is June 1 (we made it late enough so we would have our video back to play at it).

We are doing something different using a red carpet theme. Since we got engaged in a theater (where we had our first date) and since it's the debut of our wedding video we thought we could do something fun with that theming.

We have the hall booked and are going to a menu tasting next weekend for the caterer.

For favors, I'm doing a candy station with big glass jars full of all types of candies. I figured we could do this like a concession stand at a theater.

We are going to have an actual red carpet and have bought tons of clear lights to create ambiance. I am also doing a lot of red throughout.

For our invitations we're buying ones that look like actual tickets to an event; I will take some pictures soon to share with everyone. :goodvibes

We went to a red carpet themed event that had a cute idea - when each couple came in they were photographed, and at the end they each got a movie-themed frame as a favor. Prints of the photos were sent out later. It is thoughtful in the same way as your tote bags in that it's about the guests and not the hosts.
