Just in case anyone is interested. The shiping is a little expensive though $5,000 to the West Coast and $15,000 to the East Coast. I guess there not putting it back into the ride any time soon.

I wonder why it's cheaper to ship it to the west coast. I guess they moved it to the west coast. Anyways, I WANT IT!!! :D

It’s been “rumored” that almost all of the set decorations from the original “Imagination” were destroyed immediately after they were removed from the attractions. A few pieces were returned to WDI for technical or personal reasons (i.e., souvenirs) – and several other were picked up by the Disney’s eBay Salvage Team.

There is a group that does nothing but rummage through various warehouses, storage facilities, and (it’s rumored) people’s desk looking for item to sell on eBay. It’s rumored (again) that they recently carted off one of Disneyland’s Keel Boats (which the park wanted to keep) under less than friendly circumstances. Someone believes that this activity will generate huge profits for The Company.

The figure of Dreamfinder is blocked out from the photo of the blimp on eBay because its not part of the sale. Disney won’t sell any AA figure – well, at least not yet.* What really gets me about the sale is the $15,000 “shipping and handling” charge. For that kind of money I’d expect Dreamfinder’s blimp to fly to my house on its own power.

The changes to the ride will be slightly more than cosmetic, but don’t expect a lot of structural or prop changes. There’s just not the budget for it.

*next time you’re in the Lego Store at Downtown Disney, look for all those Disney executives making envious eyes at Lego’s new motorized/computer-controlled product line. It looks just like early AA technology, doesn’t it. But now it’s cheap and affordable for the kids market. Is someone whispering “licensing deal” in the background?

P.S. Did anyone read the warning about “consulting toxic material specialist” in the items description? Kind of makes one think.

I'm not sure why but the bidding was closed on the blimp before anyone could place a bid.

There were BIDS (http://cgi6.ebay.com/disney/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=1687378774) on this item but eBay/Disney cancelled the bids due to an 'error in the listing'...whatever that means.

Apparently, Disney's biggest error was the fact that it can't quite keep up with the names of its characters! : )

It's DreamFINDER, not DreamCATCHER as listed in the item description!!!

Also, I suspect Disney may re-evaluate its shipping charge, if there's any room for "improvement," since there was also a bid retraction for "over-exhorbitant shipping charges."

Actually I think Dreamcatcher was the name of the machine under the blimp so the description is probably correct.

The blimp has been relisted on eBay. I think that they have newly specified that the Figment figure is NOT included in the sale. Anyway, there's no reserve, so you could get it for $200: but you have to pay $5000 to $15000 in freight. hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

DreamCatchers, Dreamseakers, Dreamfinder, there are a ton of them! And their all in the same park!
