I've read some things that say there are refrigerators in the room and some that say you have to request them.
Anyone who has been there recently know the answer. I will need a refrigerator in the room for sure.

We were just there in a savannah view room and we did not have a refrigerator.

I thought all deluxe rooms had refrigerators. I was planning on having water and soda delivered to AKL and just assumed that we would have one. Guess I'll have to put another request on my ressie. :)

That is very interesting as all of the rooms in the deluxe resorts should have a refrigerator in them and the savanna view room that we were in this past Jan did have a refrigerator. Our in room coffee maker was on top of our refrigerator. Where was your in room coffee maker located?

My understanding is that all Deluxe rooms at all Disney should come with afridge (Except maybe GF, which had a minibar when we were there). If there isn't one in your room, just call guest services and you should be able to get one brought to your room free of charge. Both times we stayed at AKL we had one.

I just called WDW and asked this specific question after reading your post. My family and I are staying at AKL in June. I did not know that there were refrigerators in the rooms! We were planning to buy a cheap stryfoam cooler when we did our Tiffany Towncar stop at the Publix.

They told me that YES, they do have refrigerators in the rooms!

Thanks for making this post amelia1! You saved us money!

Have a fantastic trip!

We were just there in April--we had a fridge in our room. It was savannah view, but NOT deluxe.

Hope this helps!

We had a refrigerator. We had a regular Savannah room. The refrigerator is hid in a dresser looking piece of furniture. The very top holds the coffee maker, then there are a couple or three drawers, then there is a door that opens to reveal the refrigerator. I guess if you did not use that dresser and were not really snooping you could easily overlook the refrigerator.

We just returned from a stay at AKL yesterday and we had a refrigerator.

As mentioned it is inside a nice little cube/dresser piece of furniture with a door (probably best way to describe it). As a matter a fact, we had a problem with ours and they actually replaced it for us at 11:00 the first night.

If there is not a refrigerator in your room you can certainly request it and I'm sure they'll bring one up to you. We were in a standard room.

Prior to WL's renovation, when we checked in there was no frig but when we called down they brought one up for us.

There may have been a problem with the OP's room frig and maybe it wasn't replaced or maybe they didnt' look in that little cube.;) But, I know this is a standard item in the AKL rooms.

That's probably what happened to us! Sorry if I cause undue angst. :)
