I know a lot of people have beautiful pictures of their shoes from their wedding day - glass slippers, stilettos, ballet slippers, modern ankle straps, etc. And I *love* some beautiful shoes! Post your pictures here so we can get some inspiration. Shoes have a way of making you feel good, you know? :goodvibes

I want to show this thread to my mom right now. She is so against me wearing flip flops under my expensive gown. My thinking is, why buy expensive shoes that are going to kill my feet and i'll never wear again. The blue flip flops are a great idea, I never thought of doing that for my something blue...

Here are mine and they are much more comfy than they look but I will be taking a backup pair of ballet slippers which I haven't found yet.

my glass slippers:
http://i.shoebuy.com/pi/benja/benja120441_63916_lg.jpg
I don't recommend these, because vinyl doesn't give at all, and your toenails will be sore by the end of the night...:rotfl:
If you are stubborn and DO wear them, don't forget to wear stockings. I wore white thigh-his from Victoria's Secret. :thumbsup2 I would advise against going barefoot in these, because your feet will get sweaty and stick to the shoe, rub wrong, and you will most likely get blisters...
Regardless, carry a lot of band-aids in your purse...

My shoes were only visable in 3 photos.... and those 3 photos were the ones that Randy specifically zoomed in to get photos of my shoes. Haha.... so no worries about it looking bad. They were very comfy and made it really easy on me when I wanted to kick them off and get beach photos at the GF! GL!:thumbsup2

I don't have a picture of my shoes on this computer. Maggie is right - you don't see the shoes unless you specifically zoom in on them for a picture.
I loved my wedding shoes!!! They were ivory and had little embroidered flowers and crystals that matched the embroidary in my gown. They weren't exactly pointed toe, but not real rounded either. Closed toe with an open back and ankle strap. 2 inch heels. The best part was they were SO comfy! They were about $60 or $70 from David's Bridal, which I never thought I would find anything I liked at David's and didn't even want to go in there, but my MIL said let's try it, and there they were, the perfect shoe for my wedding gown!

I was thinking of starting this thread last week when I was still stressing about finding my shoes. I finally found something this past weekend that I am happy with so here they are:
http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t190/chantelleames/Shoes.jpg
They match the gold embroidery and pearl accents on my dress quite nicely and they should be fairly easy to walk in. I didn't need to worry about height because I am much shorter then my fiance. I just wanted to make sure they weren't too high so I could walk and be comfortable.

I was scrolling this really fast to see the shoes, as soon as I hit Maggie's I knew!!! How funny, they were cute. I bought shoes I cannot return, but I am absolutely getting flip flops!!! I used to be a big heels girl, but not so much anymore, I would really rather be comfortable!!! This just proves my point, to my DF, that no one will really see my shoes unless I want them to. Thanks gals!

Here are the shoes I have been planning on wearing.
http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t93/KellyJoG/FTW%20Planning/weddingshoes.jpg
I had my first fitting last week and after standing in these shoes for 45 minutes my feet were killing me. I'm not sure if it is because I'm not used to them or the fact that they are just not comfortable. I also think it had something to do with having to stand in the same spot without moving an inch. :confused3 I bought some white flip flops though so I can easily ditch these after the ceremony.

I don't know if these qualify as "beautiful", but these were my wedding shoes. Since nobody was going to see them and I was on vacation, I went for comfort. Plus, I think my friends and family would have been more shocked if I DIDN'T have Converse on my feet. :goodvibes

I plan on wearing ballroom dance shoes (comfy!), so I've been keeping an eye out. I'm thinking something like this, but a different colour - either fuscia or blue. Or silver... or white... or, or, or...

Cat- I had origionally bought a pair of keds I was planning on dressing up. But once it started getting closer to the wedding-- I decided I would take both keds and a pair of blue flip flops with me (just in case I couldnt find something blue in time). So... the morning of the wedding I had a choice-- and Im glad I chose the flip flops! Haha-- GL!

My husband's idea. I am such a jock. No one saw them until the reception when we did the garter toss. Everyone loved it because here I was in this big princess gown with soccer type shoes on. They said that was total me. The best part was my feet never hurt. Plus when I wear them now I think of our special day.

I love seeing all these beautiful shoes - and such different and unique ones! I particularly love Katie's, but I love her whole wedding, so that's no surprise! ;)
I really love how everyone did their own thing - whether it's sneakers or flip flops or elegant pumps! I think Disney brides are used to expressing themselves with confidence and going against the grain. :)

oh I'm loving this thread! I used to be a huge shoe girl but not so much anymore... I still love looking at them though!!! I really love the converse and sneakers idea with the formal gown and those ballroom shoes were amazing!
If I had it my way I'd probably wear something like this on my wedding day:

but I can't cause DF and I are the same height. I did tell DF though that on our honeymoon I plan on buying and wearing really hot wedge/platform shoes and he's just gonna have to get used to me being a bit taller than him.... I always feel really sexy in shoes like that! :thumbsup2

I ordered a pair of shoes from target.com a few weeks ago. I thought they looked plain but something made me order them anyway. When I received them, they were surprisingly comfortable and a lot cuter on then I thought. Unfortunately they were also too big. I returned them and have to order another pair but have since found a second pair that I like. The second pair is cuter but they don't look as comfy and I'm afraid that the pointy toe will make my already large feet appear even larger. So now I have a decision to make. Neither pair are extremely jaw dropping, but since they stay mostly covered up I figured this was an area where I could save some money! Here they are:

Joanie - I am in your boat! I'm 5'4" and DF is 6'5" so I definitely need some heels!
Otherwise, I'd definitely do the flat sketchers that people have been posting, love that! Haven't quite picked out my shoes yet, but after the heads up about heels getting stuck in the boardwalk, might be looking into wedges... maybe something like these:

I just have to put in my 2 cents about these shoes b/c I have a pair...they run true to size, so if you are a half size, you might have a bit of trouble. I am a 7.5, and bought the 7's. waaay too small. I tried on the 8 and it's too big...I suppose you can put in some sort of insert in the larger shoe. I tried to stretch out the 7's, but they are still too tight...
ok, sorry for the randomness. I would recommend the sassari's instead. I have yet to try them, but think that they would be really comfy...

Sandy I love these shoes and they look so comfortable - are they? and where did you get them from? If you dont mind me asking.
Hi Laura. Of course I don't mind you asking. I got them at David's Bridal. They are a discontinued style, so they only cost $25!!!! I've only worn them at David's while I was trying on gowns, so I'm hoping they're comfortable. I'm going to start wearing them around the house to break them in.

I'm planning to renew my vows in four years. I was wondering what I was going to do about the shoes. Disney is so spread out. I want to very comfortable. Now I have plenty of ideas.;)

Those shoes look amazing! I'm ordering them and I plan on returning the other shoes I bought. I already bought two pairs, one for the photos and ceremony and the lace sketchers for the reception. With these, I could wear them for both! Thanks so much!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!   Seriously!! I LOVE the new Croc Capris and I have wanted to buy a second pair, but with wedding payments I wasn't going to spend another $45 for them! Now I got them for $30 and free shipping!! They actually had my size too :) I am SO excited. They're not wedding shoes, but I posted here since you're the one who told us about the sale, thanks!

Cryssi - Just thought I would let you know that you can shrink your Crocs. I am a 6.5 - so I bought the Mary Janes in a 7 and put them in the dryer for about 5 minutes. That shrinks them down, and I put them on my feet while they were still warm. They are perfect now!!!
Okay - back on topic...:goodvibes

What a great trick! How did you think of doing that? I would never have thought of putting my crocs in the dryer.

I guess I'm the only person who is not a big fan of crocs. I'm sure they're comfy and all but they look like toy shoes, lol. I have to admit though, the sassari's are pretty cute...

What a great idea!!! I needed an 8.5, but had to get a 9 and they are a little floppy :)
Diane: I never was either, but the new Capri style ones look just like normal flip flops and they are SOOOOOOOO Comfy! Perfect summer WDW shoes :)

Thanks...I think that might be why the 7's are too tight, I put them in the dryer to stretch out, then they stretched too much so I threw them back in. Now they are unbearable, those darn primas...
So sorry for hijacking this thread and turning it into yet another crocs thread...I just had to follow up my previous post about the comfy tall shoes...someone please post their wedding shoes now! LOL :thumbsup2
p.s. I don't like the clog crocs, either...just the cute new stuff!
